Nice plants SGT. We are kinda doing the same thing. My camera is not that good to get int there that deep, but they are VERY bushy, because the inside of the nodes, whatever you called it, have grown 5 leaved leafs of each side of the node, makiing it bushy.

Im nervous I aint gonna lie, but atleast yours looks like they are starting to flower. Im sub'd now :)

Mine are flowering because i started their light cycle 12/12 from seedlings.

hmmmm, okay by looking at mine and them being @ 17 days, how long should I wait until I setup my 42 watt 2700k CFL'S and start flowering? I think 17 days is way too early personally, but Im tryin to get some smoke quick, I got some smaller ones getting up theyre 2. I am just hoping for like a half an oz or a quarter sack.

I should explain. I strarted 12/12 from seed for space reasons originally, but there's many other benifits.

Here is a breakdown of the benifits of 12/12 flowering from seed.
Courtsey of Guitarantula a member of this site who had read the same Article I did, wich cannot be accessed at the site of origin at this time.

1. Lights are on only 12/12, This will mean a lower electric bill.

2. No two rooms, since you are always in flower mode. Nice to have to only worry about 1 schedule--just set the timer and forget.

3. Always add extra seedlings whenever you want. Each plant can grow as slow or as fast as you want. Put some new seedlings in at any time and start them off, it has nothing to do with other plants and when they are ready to harvest.

4. Supposedly, these guys are getting 70-80 percent females.

5. Nutes only for flower, no more worrying about veg nutes.

6. Small pots, so you can have more plants at once. You don't get as much bud as with a normal beg plant, but you can grow more plants at once.

7. Not much side growth, so the top colas get all the energy and concentration.

So with that said......If that's all your looking for, FLOWER NOW. But the longer you wait, the bigger your plant will be, hence more buds. HOWEVER the flipside is.....More smaller budding plants in the same space...allowing you to have different stages under the same light cycle...so that in turn allows you a perpetual harvest system where you could be having ounce harvests every month.

This is what I'm hoping for myself. This method along with LST.

Thanks man, that helps, I have the 2 bigs ones in the middle, then the smaller ones on the outside. I have Super Bloom 12-55-6, how long into flowering should I start adding my nutes? Also im gonna add molasses toward the end to make the smoke before, I use it on outdoors grow and it makes it much much better.

Can I use the 6500k in 12/12 instead of the 2700 and still have the same yeild results?

LOL hilarious....I doing the Molassas thing too. As far as nutes....i don't know...I'm researching the most effective and EASY way to NOT OVER DO IT. I have watered my plants ONCE with 1/4 strength 4-12-4 MG I know that's weak....but it's better that way then screwing up PH, getting Nutrient lockout and all that....My plants aren't showing any signs of defficencies so....I'm reluctant to add.

To answer your question about the light in 12/12 Yeild results will be great if you use BOTH spectrums simultainously. And getting light intensity to those lower nodes where bud sites will form will help a great deal too. Here's a few facts...6500K awesome for VEG. Can be used alone for flower, however produces lighter more popcorn lik buds, 2700K great for flowering and producing Denser buds. Both together allow vegitative and flower growth.

How bout that with the mollasses deal. Yeah, it makes the flavor so less harsh. what I do is put them in darkness for like 3 days and flush with water and mollases and after like the 2nd day the buds smell soo sweet.

I got one 2700 k cfl, so im thinkin of puttin that light in the middle of all the other lights ( since the 42 watters are huge compared to the 6500k, I wonder if that one 2700 being soo big and being in a small grow area can cover both of them?

Ne ways, Im think of waiting just one more week until I start to flower, what do you think? what would you do? haha

Yea, another week, go for it....you have the space. All that will happen from that is better buds. 1 26 Watt CFL produces roughly 1600 lumen. 1 42watt Produces roughly 2700-3000 lumen. (regardless of color temp) Arrange your plants and lights in such a way that leaf surface area to light ratio is maximized evenly.

hmm, interesting.. I've never tried growing 12/12 from seed.. It will be interesting to see what the yield and quality of the bud will be once you harvest... I do see some of the advantages in that list, like space, electricity cost, easy maintenance, etc BUT while it is true that environmental factors do play a part in plant sex, it is mostly determined by the genetics of the seed, so normally 50/50 chance depending on the variety; I am not aware of any scientific data showing that 12/12 photoperiod from germination increases the likelyhood of the plants turning female.
Also, I have a feeling that the 20-40 days from now until harvest is wishful thinking.. the plant must fully mature (which means alternating node/branch development) before the buds will mature and that takes at least 5 weeks for most strains.. so if they are a month old now, and estimating about 40 days for flowering, I would say that you probably have at least 5-6 weeks until harvest.
Yea, bagseed is fine and sometimes great to grow and smoke ; check out my experiment with bagseed -->

You seem to know your shit, would you mind checking out my grow journal, I've posted lots of pics. But i have a few plants budding out right now 31 days old ....it seems it's happening very fast. Take a look and see what you'd estimate for harvest time.

how bad do those things smell? do you need like an odor control system?
Only Girl3 Smells right now believe it or not and she is a bit skunky. However they are all the same strain. I am still working on my Active carbon air filter for this Grow as smells have to be 100% undetectable for me.

I have no idea when ppl begin to add molassas to their watering schedual.....and still reluctant to add nutes, so i mixed up 1 TBLSPN with 2L water and did it anyway

Is that ok?

Not to mention that I have been so carful NOT to over water, that i think by this point they are risking being too DRY. So I DRENCHED all the girls till they took no more. ( I have a good mix for drainage)
Prolly won't need water for like 4-5 days
