Speaker wire????

Maybe. The thing about wire is it is bad to connect wires that are different gauges (diameter) or to use them in an application where it carries more power than it's rated for as this becomes a fire hazard.

ya, the speaker wire is thicker than comp fans, would it slow the current you think and fuck my shit up?

I don't know. Speaker wire is a low voltage wire, if you start running some power through it who knows what might happen. Why don't you bring your fan and it's power source to LOWEs or whatever and tell them you need appropriate wire to extend it. This way you get some free expert help and keep yourself from creating a fire hazard. Tell them it's for your aquarium if they ask.

ya, hmm. comp fans are low voltage aswell. Hmm. But ya thats a good suggestion. The thing is i dont have money. i guess i could test it. Would it be alright though if i use typical houshold guage wire from the comp fans?

Hey thanks alot for helping though Cheers:joint:

u mean the speaker adapter wires right? before u do this, check the DC. i think it's like 12DC or something like that idonno. cut the end of the wire where the cirucular plug is at and there should be 2 wires, black and red. connect those to the fan and it should work.
