Your doing the right things by addressing the ASAP----First thing your should do is set the sulphur burner to come on at lights out. Sulphur can easily burn with the lights on---second you want to hang the burner above the canopy as high and far away from direct contact of the plants. Your oscillating fans in the room will disperse the sulphur. The units heat up rather quick so 8 to 14 mins after heat up should be ample unless you have a room over 2000 sf. I would also pick up a bottle of safers sulphur spray and hit all the corners of your room and the areas were you see mold. The mold is probably from high-humidity or poor ventilation with high humidity so you need to either add more ventilation to the room or add a dehumidifier or both. You want your room to stay below 50% humidity at all times. Powdery mildew is bad but bud rot is worse. Heat can also worsen conditions so keep it in check------75 to 78 without co2-----83 to 85 with. If the one Dailey application of the sulphur burner is not taking care of your problem 100% add another application about one hour before lights on. Watch the foliage closely for sulphur burn and decrease the dosage time immediately if present. DO-NOT foliar feed your plants at this time------The sulphur will change the surface PH of the leaves---You can also use the safers sulphur spray on the top of the soil(if your in soil) but I don't recommend the use on the foliage. Hope all this helps----PM me if you have further questions----good luck...Hey doc, I started a thread, but no one could give me any answers, so I decided to just ask you. I noticed some powdery mildew on a couple of my plants. few along the edges of my room, and now its starting to make its way in on the ones in the middle. Each plant has about 10-20 leaves with spots, about 10 percent of the plant, if that. Its very light right now, and I feel like I can get a handle on it if I start to fight it now. I am on day 23 of harvest (2nd day of week 4), and I am worried I am going to lose my crop. I have acquired a sulfur burner and I am waiting until my lights go off so I can use it. The reason why is because I also turn off my inline fans when the lights go off, since I use them to duct the lights. The are also hooked up to a carbon filter that exhausts the room, so, I figured I would need to turn off the exhaust while I use the sulfur, so it stays in my room correct? Now, my questions are as follows: where do I hang it, on the edge of the room, in the middle? Do I put a fan behind it, so it will disperse, or will it do that by itself? And how much should I use and for how long, and when should I see results? AND (whew) is there anything else you could recommend?
Can be normal on some strains and the very first signs of a nute def. Just keep and eye on it---If it is a nute def at this point increasing your ppm's by 50 may just take care of the problem.my stems have some red in them. should i be worried, and what is this from? thanks for your help
That is normal in a lot of strains---as I said above to mondo---Just keep a eye on it---if they get darker red or purple your may have to increase your ppm's.Yeah, doc, that reminds me. My stems of my fan leaves have red streaks on them. I always thought this was normal, but someone else said that it is a sign of nute deficiency. It goes right down th emiddl eof the top of the fan leaves stem, from the base of the leaves, down to the stalk or branch it is connected to. Is it really just natural, or does it mean something?
Why not a fan?The correct and only true answer would be ----They could!!!----Until you grow them out you will not be able to know but the chances are very good that they could produce Hermie because of the "self pollinated"---If you are worried about the Hermie's there are 2 things you can do----1. Use Dutch masters reverse at the light switch----2. take the chance that they will not Hermy(watch for male flowers closely. 3. Don't grow those seeds out. Hope this helped to answer your question. As you have probably already found out if you have read most of my threads---I'm not a fan of feminised seeds.
