The White Widow Grow Hydro Grow

This is my 4th grow but first time making a journal. I am growing using a constant drip method (im not sure the true name of this setup but ill go with that). The lighting is a 400 watt Metal Halide for Vegatative growth will be using a 400 watt High Pressure Sodium bulb for flower. I am running a 20/4 lighting cycle for vegging. Since the White Widow seeds are not feminized I am planning on taking clones from each plant before flowering and place them in another room and when i find out the girls ill keep one clone that is female as a mother plant for future grows.

This will be my first time using General Hydroponics series for the nutrients just to try somthing new. I am using the three part series FloraMicro, FloraBloom, and Flora Gro.

I have the space to grow in a closet however I was not able to make any alterations to the walls or ceiling to bring in fresh air so i purchased a 4X4X7 grow room and just placed it in my spare bedroom and so far is working great. I have read some posts that the plastic used in certain grow rooms caused the plants to die, but i have not heard of this occurring with a reflective tent so i had to give it a try.

I know that there are some posts that people are wondering what a setup like this is costing for electricity and im about $35 a month added onto my current bill if anyone was wondering.

Alrighty i think i covered most of it but if you have any questions or suggestions feel free to let me know :weed:

here is a little update. all of my plants are doing normal growth except for one little seedling. for some reason it is growing to normal height with all the others, but there is no more leafs growing out of the center like the other plants. Im just going to label this one a gimp and see what kind of plant he turns out to be :joint::-?. has anyone seen this before?

Its either a really early polypoid morph, so possibly a root broke or gravity hasnt started pulling it down yet. Im sure once it gets a couple days of nice light itll come around, 90% of the growth that really matters right now is the roots, getting a good root system going is so crucial.

Great stuff thanx for the advise. Just curious should I use hydroguard to keep everything safe and strong? If so will it affect my GH nutrients?

hey guys sorry for the no updates sadly i went out of town and when i came back everything was dead :-( (my friend was supposed to take care of everything) everything didnt seem out of the ordinary until i checked the water for some reason the PH was close to 7.3 so i really got bummed out with that. I since then started again and this time with 4 white widow 3 free seeds that came with my order and 3 Red haired skunk (10 in total) hopefully i get at least 6 girls. here is some pics of the new grow. funny thing is it kinda looks like right where i left off. I"ll keep this updated about every two days. thanks to everyone for stopping by.

Hello thanx for stopping by. to be honest with you im not sure if the flora series will work in a nutrient solution I dont see why not. I dont want to give you the wrong info as im new to the whole General Hydroponics series solutions. I started out using the BC series nutrients and to anyone out there looking for a nutrient they gave me a great result.

Cool set up...You shouldn't have any problem producing some nice buds with this...
Thanx Inthesmoke! you have a great grow as well. I hope that i get as many girls as possible. I think for next time I will just purchase the feminized seeds, it kinda makes sense to do that.

Yeah my cfl grow was 1 clone and couple bagseeds. For my aero grow I bought a couple nice strains from the club and its way easier making my feminized clones than having to go through the guess work and time.

make sure you get some covers for that rocwool
thanx for the advise ru8fru. I should have them in pots with media covering the rockwool by this saturday. I usually just let the seedlings get a fresh start then cover as i have noticed a temp spike when you cover with a plastic to the inside of the rockwool. I cant wait for these to get passed the seedling stage.......Bump bongsmilie:eyesmoke::bigjoint:

Here is a little update on the grow. Its day seven and thing are starting to pick up. I started using like an 8th strength nutrient and going to closely monitor the leaves and PH. The average temp is about 78.8 on the top of the plants. Tomorrow Im going to plant these in pots with clay media to cover up the Rockwool. So Far so good :bigjoint:
