what to do with trimmings

Hey all!

I just harvested, and I have a little pile of trimmings. I was thinking about saving them and adding to the pile, and then make hash with it. Is that a good idea? Or should I do something with it immediately?

Do I dry it and cure it like the buds? Store it in the fridge?

Thanks!!

I was wondering how much you need to make it worth it. Would 3 plants be enough to make hash or is it a waste of time?

Hold on to it till you have enough for a batch. I store mine in a paper bag in a dark dry place. to make oil it all needs to be very dry. Lol it takes allot of trimings to get 2oz of dried scrap.

just dry them out then put them in a jar to cure.

now i am cheep so i went to the paint store and bought a 5gal straner bag cut it in half then put it in a wood frame i made with 8 pices of wood. 2 pices with the straner bag in the sandwiched in the middle. i have a pice of glass now just befor i put the leaf on i freze them doing it this way i still need to use a grinder for my final sift.

then you just need a pollen press hope this helps somone out

I guess I'm not making hash. It would be hash oil. extracting with butane. works pretty good. you can find all kinds of methods on you tube.

You dont have to cure the trimmings.

The cure process is for buds. The idea behind it is to give your plants awhile to break down chlorophyll into sugars. That way the smoke is smooth and not overly green tasting.

If you make water hash you do not have to worry about that. Because you are just after the glandular trichome head and nothing else.

Now before you say "Hey you have to cure your hash!" That is not the same as curing buds. Its just drying out the hash properly for long term storage. If you put the hash away wet it could mold. And Hash is known for staying wet inside if you keep it in one big chunk.

Personally I fresh freeze my trim because its more work to dry it. And not necessary if iam just making water hash for it soon anyway.

It all comes down to wat u want to make and how?

bubble hash= wet=keep in frezzer.

hash=dryed

oil=dryed,,,but i have seen some people make oil from fresh green trimmings.

I get about a tea spoon of A grade bubble hash from a full shoping bag

I separate my trim leaves, the leaves I got from manicuring my buds, the ones with trichomes on them, from the FAN leaves or larger bottom leaves.
I dry them 7 days and then freeze them to make HASH.
The large leaves, I dry 7 days and make oil with.
