There is no secret to growing great weed. No tricks or secrets, get some good nutrients and proper lighting and your set. Fimming and topping works, it's explained in the grow faq, top left.

who hasn't made a mistake and killed their best girl (plant people! PLANT). I think maybe just the "secrets" of how plants work is what this guy wants. We as humans aren't even born with much self knowledge, so we damn well don't know what plants need unless we pay attention to them. I don't mind sharing what I've noticed. It helps more plants survive and more people continue to grow. If more people continue to grow, maybe, just maybe, it'll stop this idiotic prohibition.

i've always heard it's best to just plant the seed, water the seed, love the plant.. I mean, you cant just stick it in teh ground and expect some kill.. but with alittle love, patience and care.. that bagseed will become some kill.. it's all about care and attention...

also, my unckle always said to prep your spot weeks ahead of time, bury a fish under where you're planting, and then add some bloodmeal.. then when you water or feed, you always feed in a circle, moving further and further away from the plant each time you do it..

I can't say this works.. but he used to seel weed to willie Nelson and all those old timer's.. back before he died anyway (my uncle.. not willie).. everyone in my family tell's me about these huge 8 feet tall plants and up.. and everyone who knew him always said he grew the best pot you'd ever find.. I'm talkin peopel who have been to cali and everywhere in america.. not just her ein MS.. they say they havent smoked anything like it since he died.. my aunt had a LB of it after he died, and sold it to pay for x-mas.. her kids had an awesome x-mas.. keep in mind a LB goes for about 900 around here, this shit sold for thousands..

When you buy the proper nutrients and a good medium with no nutes, it is impossible to kill your plants. I have been growing for almost a year now and my plants are thriving.

were I live now I could kill my plants just by using my well water. The ph fluctuates between 8-9. yep, many a deer, squirrel, gopher cat, dog, frost, flood, etc. has caused many of my babys to die. If you haven't killed one you haven't lived long enough yet.

mostly deer...a forest fire(not becuz of me)....yeah, i guess it is pretty hard to not gro a plant....shit, they gro in sidewalk cracks in philly in the hood...it was only 3 in but it is a weed

My tap water is around 8 or 9 as well, that's why I adjust the pH. And I'm not lying about not losing any plants, I don't see why that's so hard to understand. Use botanicare pro grow and bloom, just try and burn your plants with that stuff. Granted I have only grown inside...

Personally I'm pretty new to growing myself (1 year now) but I got off to a rocky start and got a lot of help from people around here (well the nice ones anyway )

As a new grower myself I don't have any secrets to share.... but I will say this. Growing in hydro I'm finding the 3 most important things to keeping my plants healthy are: 1) correct PH; 2) Correct PPM and 3) cool water temps. Many other things factor in... but those are the 3 things I stay on top of religiously.

I'm an organics guy I've been growing on and off for twenty plus years. It's not a sin to have one die. It is a learning opportunity. despite what has been said in the thread it is VERY easy to kill a plant. for instance, if you didn't KNOW to ph your water, you would be sunk. These bits of knowledge are not innate.

I'm glad that some of you have never killed one, you are probably careful and thorough in your research. Not everybody is. I think that is why this site exists, to share the info to help with other people's quest for better, freer weed.

Sad There shouldn't be any secrets to growing weed, i wouldn't keep secrets that could help somebody grow bigger vegetables to feed themselves, but i can see somebody worried about it affecting their money but i dont look at weed as a cash crop, i will gladly give you a bowl along with all my growing tips and secrets

Telling you the things about growing that I was taught by my dad is not going to create a problem with my money... It's the principal... Who is ever going to trust you with secrets if you go around being a blabbermouth to every person who wants to ask? I'm generous with almost everything but secrets, just ask the clubs that I charge bottom dollar per ounce to.

I just felt it was important to say that secrets are private for a reason... Loose lips sink ships, and those who TELL secrets never get TOLD secrets.

Stop. Think. You are a member of this forum because an OPEN FORUM is what you want. The sharing of ideas or socalled "secrets" is the basis for you membership.

I stopped... I thought... and I honestly wouldn't mind if it cost money to be a member here. The sharing of ideas wasn't my reason for joining, but to help others with ridiculous issues and interact with a few people I know here.

There are no secrets. Plants are no mystery. They require certain things and when those needs are met, the end product is quality. 5000 years of agriculture hasn't happened because some douche nozzle kept his irrigation techniques a secret, and wouldn't divulge his "SECRET SOIL MIXTURE" or whatever skewed nonsense you think you know that "NOONE ELSE KNOWS".

As I said before, people can grow a perfectly fine crop without the tricks I was told... It's not my job to babysit your plants for you, or to tell you how to get your plants growing like they're on steroids. I'm not your mommy, I just thought some of you could benefit from a lesson in morals... How would you like it if someone told all of your secrets? If it's a secret, don't tell it- if it's information, then talk all day. But a secret is when someone tells you NOT to say something about it... and to open your mouth like some snitch in interrogation says a lot about the type of person you are.

I think (for an uber noob like me anyway) theres more than enough info to at the very least get set up for your first grow and get it underway. A lot of people who really seem to know their shit DO share a lot of their techniques, but I think like anything else, fucking up is just part of the learning process. I'm thinking that the questions that will come up from your first grow will provide you with info thats a little more appropriate for a beginner than more advanced "tricks" would be. Thats how I look at it for me anyway. just my .02
