That sound about right. How about the watering? Rockwool is very spongy so you dont really have to water it for a while. just mist occasionally.

i was dipping the rockwool halfway under in nutrient solution.. after i covered them up i didnt water for like 4 days.....that was the same day they wilted over

And there is your problem.... In the beginning of the vegetative state, the plants should have nothing but ph'ed water. Only after a few nodes do you start feeding them. Plus you should NEVER dip rockwool, just a quick splash of water on top. Try only water for a while until they get stronger. Then feed them.

so dont make rockwool soaked just damp........every day splash water on them?

no not every day!!! please no! and dont make it soaked, just a bit moist. Then squeeze it a bit to get excess water out.unless its in the pot already, then in that case just dont give it too much water. get a water bottle and spray it a couple of times.
