Just thought id share my happiness with the club! Updated pixels of my clones in the tub. 4 days after transplant to the tub...... Damn this is sick!

Anyone just starting out or are interested in DWC should check this out.https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/123657-dwc-beginners.html

Heres a very simple way to get started in DWC> https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/140856-diy-hydro-dwc-build-ur.html
Keep in mind U can replace the tub with a bucket and get a cheapy Air pump with stone for 20 bux less.

Looks OK, did you put them in the dark after cloning?
Also, when you clone where is your water level?
Do you water from the top till roots are in the water?
Questions, not statements.....

U dont have to water from the top as long as U place ur water level @ or a lil above the bottom of the pot. I have 4 8 inch stones in mine on 2 pumps. Bubble penetration forces plenty enuff water up into the rock and keeps it "moist" Not WET. They will look damp.
Ive told people in the past to take it easy on the water until they get a feel for it. I suggest sometimes to water from the top only to help people out in not damaging or prolonging seedlings and clones.THey like air at this stage.

Once my Roots pop out and begin growing down or into the water I back my water off to 1/2 inch below the pots.
I begin feeding when they hit the water.

I do not place my clones in the cup in the dark. Never had to. They get placed directly on the side of the mom right after the Cut,Scrape, And dip process.
However, I just attemted a method of another grower here using upside down peat plugs.A nursery tray, A horticultural heat mat and a dome and acquired 100% success. The clones in the dome OLD in the ways style actually cloned quicker.Im addopting his method to keep my tubs full. This method does require 12 hrs of darkness before hitting lights and u dont dome them or place them on the mat until they are ready for light.
I would suggest anyone tho, To get a lil practice with the cup first, Learn what to expect and get some confidence in cloning before trying a more difficult Method.

In the end its all really simple. I used to make it alot harder than it should be.
Hope that helps bro.

And it not a problem we all goof of alot but we are all here to help.

AWEsome bro looking forward to it. Im glad u liked the links as well. This is all acquired knowledge ive learned from prolly the some of the most insane grows ive ever seen. THese pros here have no problem teaching peeps the tricks. The hardest part for me was listening.
Growing is so damn simple. If ur not sure just copy exactly and do as ur told.Hahah It all starts to make sense sometimes later.

quick question...1st dwc grow...
I got a drip system with the aeration in the res..

once the roots hit the water, am i supposed to turn off the pump that drips in the net pots or just run both methods???

Thanks

Thank for the info, I have read "Oldintheway"s methode as well as Al B.
Looked to me you had a little different and easy way there.
I'm a newby water guy yet old fart at durt farming. Hydro is a very interresting thing for me. I have a RN tub 18gallons and two 6 inch stones. Guess I need two more stones and another pump. I miss the part where the water is to bubble to the point of splashing up to the stones.
But ya live, read, farm & learn!

Peace

Bro I also grew in soil for awhile before switching over to DWC. The biggest reward comes during VEG time I think. Its like putting a super charger on ur car. I still have a plant flowering from my last grow at this moment.I harvested my DWC plants a lil over 2 weeks ago and im already smoking out on the harvest.

Yes the clone in a cup method is the simpleist.Cut @ a 45 degree angle set direclty in a cup of water. Move to the scrape spot.Take the clone and lightly remove the outside layer of "skin" over the bottom 1/2 of the stalk.Dip in cloning solution of ur choice. im using superthrive.dip for 30 seconds.I place in a small plastic cup cut to size to fit " hold up" the fan leaves. My clones are bigger now so i dont have to cut the cup.
I put only enuff water in the cup to cover the stalk i scraped.About a half inch to an inch and just change and refill it daily. Im getting clones in a week this way.

What ive done with OLD in the ways method.
I flip my plugs over. Use a shishkabob skewer and place my own small whole in it. I take my clones the same way for the cup. After i cut i put them in water and get set-up to scrape, dip and place in the plug.
I used superthrive this time.
Each cutting I get in the plug goes directly into the tray. And then i take the next and repeat the process.
It took me prolly a half hour to do my first 4 hah.
I just did 10 this way in about the same amount of time.
From There this time i went with 6 hours of dark. Then on the mat and under the dome.I think the trick is just making sure u cut, scrape, dip and place in plug the proper way.
I used a small aquatic cool blue aquatics lamp both times.Directly over the top of the dome. I cracked the dome Twice a day.To water with 5-10 ml of water each time.
I got roots this way in 4 days.It took the other 2 another day to catch up.

Hope that helps. Thats my entire cloning process right there.
