Straight from change.gov and an answer to a question submitted...
Q: "Will you consider legalizing marijuana so that the government can regulate it, tax it, put age limits on it, and create millions of new jobs and create a billion dollar industry right here in the U.S.?" S. Man, Denton

A: President-elect Obama is not in favor of the legalization of marijuana.
Didn't want to say "I told ya so", but I told ya so.

he was in favor prior to being nominated, he only changed in order to get the votes.

Im not worried, we just need some old people in government to die so our generation can move in and set it straight.

There are some pretty stupid people in our generation. I bet they take their places.

Not to mention all the drug companies that would go out of business when drug tests are no longer needed.

but think of the business that would be generated from legalizing pot. And i agree stupid people will always be around, but I think even the stupid kids are starting to realize there is no reason weed should be illegal, especially since alcohol isnt. The comparison heavily favors weed, and the stupid kids dont have predetermined negative connotations towards it because everyone knows people that smoke.

i think your preaching to the choir i would love for it to be l,egal i just dont think obama will have time to worry about it maybe once were out of war and econmy is "fixed" but technically we have been at war my entire life i think it would take at least 10+ years of very liberal politicians

regardless, if you have a script and there's no federal raids, you're essentially legal . . .

regardless? i was agreeing with you. he's not just gonna come out and "legalize pot". it will start with medical if anything. are people so ignorant they think he's just gonna say "have fun with it"? and he still ISN'T even in office yet. and isn't he a "liar"? maybe he's lying about not legalizing it. lol

its just going to take a long time, but it will eventually get done because every argument against weed doesnt hold any water.

i was just basing my opinon on the idea that older members of the U.S. government are too cautious with making changes, which will cause the process of decriminalzation to take way too long.

if we fall into a depression I could see it happening . . . an extra 50+ million dollars into our economy would be really really good . . .
