Safe to stick one of these in a refridgerator???

looking for cheap alernatives for HPS lighting... Something like these

Multi-Ballasted and can be wired for 110v or 220w...

I figure that if the bulbs in them arent right, I can always get the right one....

i reckon give it a go

ive seen hydro grown by a normal house light once so i reckon the globes should work
just do a search on the globe when u get it dee hhow many lumens sqft and the colour/intensity of the light

they also look like lights ive deen be used before so you should be ok man

p.s the globe they used was just a normal globe really they got it from a dairy roof if that helps (meaning not sure what kind sorry) and theyre peas grew pretty sweet man and this was all done in a pretty small cupboard so it should be ok in fridge if done correctly

You would be better off remotely mounting a ballast if using 400 watts in a all space. It will make cooling a bit tougher. Though those lights will work, they have reflectors that perform innefficiently for growing.

I'm not too concerned with the reflectors... I can make something....
And I can always mount that ballast to the outside of the fridge...
I was planning on doing that so, I think I'm gonna be OK with cooling issues...

I have 2 - 5" exhaust fans mounted in the ceiling and in the back wall of the fridge

I'm picking one of those bad boys up this weekend...

I'm gonna cut a chunk of counter top to fit where the freezer shelf used to and mount this bad ass in the bottom "fresh food" section of the fridge....

that would work just fine. Make the ballast remote. I hear old mag ballasts can last 20 years and longer. Just have to replace capacitors once on a while. IDK on thati would not worry. Lol, but guess what i was at my local liqor store and i noticed all their outisde lights are those 65 watt 4k lumens flourex they got enbay for 30 buccks. Lol, a cpuple of those and thats a veg cab, JK. The arabs there got my back.

Ballast will be mounted where all the old fridge guts were mounted along with the air pump for the hydro tank...
