My question would be are their banana og seeds legit? Are they s1 or F2 or what?
How did they go about creating seeds off this clone that seems to be RARE to find uncrossed...
Only asking because Banana OG is a great strain, but I actually know very few ppl who have smoked it outside of myself, I'm on the east coast, and that strain is something NOBODY seems to have...I have my source for it, as my source grows the clone only....but I legit haven't seen anyone else with it out here
Shoot well I asked about it in the humboldt thread and no one said anything like that. Isnt the breeders job to find these things especially these days since all you have to do is cross it and now can sell f1’s?
If you look on humboldts site it shows all the info. Im new to breeding but from what it says it was an elite clone they selfed then backcrossed in fact 3x. I didnt even know that but feel better about that.
Idk, they sourced it in 2010 in cali area which is where oregon kid was. Idk how youd be a top tier breeder but struggle to source a elite clone from another person in the same state? Not that its easy and theres greed involved but theres only one banana og its got that candy gas thats og kush. I know og kush well, my pheno displays it from mk ultra.
Banana candy krush was going to be my shot because it allegedly has banana og in it and was crossed in the strain twice. Banana og x banana cake. Banana cake is banana og x wedding cake. Thats good, better than a f1 poly hybrid cross that 1000 seeds is a “optimal starting point” to find that hash dumper they claimed to found.
I was about to buy as many possible like damn this might be the only way to get what I want above what I need. Straight to top tier hash maker pheno. Then refined my search to find humboldt claims to have it.
Even if they dont have the real deal its been selected and refined for notably its hash making abilities being “great for rosin folks.” Things like that are the best bet I have as these traits are rare and only just now becoming bred for. Since the solventless scene is exploding. I mean, I bought 100 seeds, we are talking about it?! lol.
From my understanding this narrows it down so 100 seeds is optimal starting point. Then if I self a clone once or twice I can copy that in seed form god willing, Im aware of potential consequences.
Just need to run them over and over and test the hell out of them. Keeping a mother is a whole other subject, not practicing top standards of mother keeping can lose your pheno in just a couple years.
