Hi guys so 3rd time round here however the last 2 times I used coco and grew photos. This time round iv gone for autos in biobizz soil topped with biobizz light mix to help them get established first we’re about 2 weeks in all plants looks fine except one the first 4 leaves seem to have brownish dots mainly centre of the leaf. No nutrients in at all except what’s in the soil started from seed jiffy blocks till sprouted straight into finals pots after that with the jiffy block netting removed. Iv attached pics if anyone can help will be appreciated

Kinda hard to make out. First thing is to see if it progresses onto healthy leaf tissue or if the affected tissues change colour. If the blotches change that’s just historic stress. If it spreads something is wrong.

Typically when I get blotches on the lower leaves it’s moisture stress, too dry. I see you’re in fabric pots. Bear in the mind the edges dry out fast.

And if you have those pots raised already the bottom will dry out. The plants taproot can hit the bottom of that pot in the first week.

I find it’s best not to raise fabric pots. Sit them on the saucer and let them soak up run off. Ive done 3 grows with no run off removed and have had my healthiest plants so far!

You have to feed lightly tho. Probably a 1/4 of what the manufactures say as you ideally want to meet the plants needs and no more

Hi mate thanks for that so at the moment I’m just feeding with water they’re only 2 weeks in and this is the first time in soil over hydro so no nutrients have gone in I’m watering every 3 days about 700ml just around the plant/rootball area reckon I should change this to watering the whole pot instead? The damage is only on 1 out of 5 plants over 2 different strains aswell I removed the first 2 damaged leaves yesterday to make tracking the issue easier and today the next set of leaves up have instantly turned blotchy again just that plant tho

Here’s so better pics without the light the picture with the single plant is the problem plant

Not sure if Iv answered my own question with the drooping leaves me only watering around the root ball every 3 days with temps sat around 25degrees and with you saying blotchy leaves= dry potential under watering?

You checking pH? That was my first thought...
Medium looks bone dry too...give her something to drink!

Tbh iv not had any proper run off to check ph coming out im only using water and my water sits in the range i need it we’re in the north here I was just paranoid this time with using soil from seed didn’t wanna overwater

Evening lads! So does this look odd to youse? They seem to have abit of deformative growth noticed mainly on one. Grown in fabric pots 30L about 4/5 weeks old now grown in biobizz all mix just water in PHEd at 6.5 under 24hr HPS. Iv attached pics they’re autos by the way 2 are Northern lights (main problem plant is this strain) other 3 are Euforia any ideas or do we think is normal had a lot of stretch over past week

They look fine to me, other than a bit of heat stress from the HPS bulb you are using. I would get another fan on them blowing gently over the top of the plants and raise the light an inch or two.

Perfect thanks mate!
First time growing autos would we say vegging is coming to a close now?
Yeah mate if they are autos they should start flowering pretty soon. If they don't start flowering within the next 2 or 3 weeks then you might have been sent Photoperiod seeds.

Perfect thanks mate appreciate the help let’s hope they’ve bushed up well in all honesty when would you suggest giving them feed they seem to be doing fine just off the all mix and water at the moment

I'm not sure as I've never done a soil grow, I grow in coco and feed twice per day but they look fine at the minute. I'm guessing all of the nutrients is already in the soil?

My last 2 runs was photos in coco canna nutes so this time is new to me but yeh I water till slight run off leave them sat in the run off per advice from here and they’ve bushed up like that I water like every 2/3 days so I’ll just asses closer to flower but I don’t wanna effect yield at all by starting nutes too late

You never want to leave your plants sat in run off. You will get Pythium root rot. At least that's how it works in coco anyway.

I heard that but because they’re fabric pots it seems to be absorbed with an hour or so and then just slight damp pots after that someone on this thread suggested it and seems to have not caused any issues I guess I’ll just monitor it

That twisty leaves is humidity/heat not being balanced right. Check your leaf surface temp (easy with a cheapy laser reader) it should be a bit cooler than the room temp, if not then your plant isn’t transpiring properly and you need to adjust your relative humidity.
