I mean for the room to pick up any stray gnats before they make the tent.

I've used one of these they're effective but some are poor quality, my 1st one had a proper UV bulb the 2nd had a blue/uv plastic coating on the bulb that went to shit it was poor quality i suspect thats what this one is at only £8/9.
Yeah, to work effectively, you need the ones that hum and maybe make your hair crawl when you're near it lol. I keep the hanging yellow tape and the vinegar/sugar/soap traps out. But,, until we find an easy way to kill em for sure in the medium, I fear they'll be a problem. They've definitely gotten fewer since I have been bottom watering and peroxide misting the top.

They are looking much better now. I’d be tempted to scroll those fuckers out and fill that space up nice and flat with all those little branches.. but that’s just me, I love scrogging
Man, if I had more light, then I would. Those 3 plants are under just 2 100w QB's. I figure the autos have 4-5 weeks left. After that I can put the big light over the HP's. I'm definitely taking clones and starting those. I'm hoping for another( hopefully better) bar style light by next season. I can see where this cultivar would be easy to bush out. The last run has cured to have a really sweet fruity, hashy smell. As good as it turned out to be I can only imagine how a healthy plant would be. I hope I can keep these healthy.

I took 4 cuttings last night. I did these same as last time. I cut them and dipped in Clonex and then into a fresh watered peat puck that was halfway up in a container of FFOF. Then I filled them up. Last time I didn't bury the puck completely except on 1. That one did way better so I did em all like that this time. My dumb ass sit 1 under full light beside a plant. No shocker it's the droopy one. The gnats are still alive... I've been trying everything. But I've heard these bug zappers might work. Since the ones around my soil are the problem, maybe this is the way.... lol. It might work during lights off for ....something. This one was a Temu special. It doesn't hum and I've yet to see a dead bug. I think I'm gonna order some of those predatory nematodes. I can pantyhose off the clones but the autos have so many stakes and stuff. Only 1 plant is really showing symptoms , but I wanna stop em. Fk these little bastards are tough this year!

Few bud shots, I had to harvest a pound early which I’m pissed about.. but Christmas is coming and bills to pay ect..they really need another two to three weeks of ripening in my opinion. Trichomes are about 50/50 milk and clear.
well.. whadda ya gonna do? Mans gotta eat.

I think my slow growth issue has been resolved.

Six days between these two pics.

Thank you @Mumbeltypeg for suggesting what the problem might be!
Are those autos or photos? If they're autos , then, they really shoulda gotten a bit bigger in 6 days. Autos are just so sensitive the first rew weeks. But, I don't know shit about hydro so I'd probably stunt mine. If those are photos then you're great if you figured out your issue. I guess genetics matter too. If you're running some people's autos then you might have 6 weeks or more before flower starts. Every Mephisto plant I've ran has started flowering in under 5 weeks. Hey though, they say that taproot touching bottom is a big trigger for start of flower. A deep hydro setup might fix that. You'll nail it down eventually and be growing some big ass ladies.

They're CDLC from Mephisto. They are definitely bigger than the last 2 CDLC at the same time. I saw a post somewhere here that had day by day pics of some CDLC that looked about the same. Can't find it now.

I was listening to a podcast about a bloke who grows autos.. he said never let the taproot touch the bottom with autos as that is where they will stop getting big. He also said he like to hit his with constant far-red spectrum as it makes them get a good vigorous stretch on.
I’ll see if I can find a link.

Maybe they'll take off soon. It's a difficult thing to hit all the marks in hydro grown autos. I've seen guys really yield quite a lot of really killer looking stuff. I'm sure you're close to hitting yours. I usually seem to do pretty good for the first month. Then if I'm not careful, I'll see a couple deficiencies. That's when a hydro setup would really crush imo. I'm anxious to see what you do.

I've heard that enough times from too many breeders and growers in the industry to not believe it. I know that personally I've grown same strain same company in two 3 gallon pots. 1 was tall and skinny, other was short and fat. The tall pot yielded 6 zips. The other 3 something. I usually fill my space up running 3g but a tall 5g did give me almost 8 zips of that ILGM GGauto once. Dude, I could totally see somebody with your gear and skillset being able to regularly pull pound a plant harvests with the right genetics. But, nobody can argue with your results. But, I can only imagine all the different strains you could grow in a year in your setup. Man that plant you just harvested looked fine without a loupe. I'm sure someone was glad to see that. I hate having to harvest early too. But, sometimes you got no choice. I let my wife smoke the underdone stuff with her friends.

The episode was gardentalk #156
Comes up if you google it.
Thanks for the video! Found 2 others that also stressed not blocking the tap root which is what I stilled managed to do.
I'm going to have to make a small aero-cloner. Then allow the tap root to get long enough to reach all the way through the net pot before moving it and adding clay pellets. I think this is kinda what you were trying to tell me to do. I've got a couple of ex-wives that accused me of not listening too :).
I'm gonna keep these 2 going for now because they're definitely doing better than the last 2.

The cuttings are still looking alright. I added a tad of Big Bloom to the water I use. The clones I took the cuttings from are popping pistils. It would be great if I could keep these rolling. It's a nice tough pheno, that bushes out great, can take some abuse and still flowered in 8 weeks. And the buzz is really great. I can totally see getting big yields if I had the light. That's OK. I'll be ecstatic to get three quarters to a pound off them as good as I know the smoke is.

Episode 75 & 75.5 of the pot cast was fucking cool.. hours of just listening to a fuckin legend breeder/grower “Tom Hill” just listening to someone who just loves the plant like that was a real pleasure.

There are the Bodhi cuttings aren’t they?

Yep. I'm hoping to keep them going awhile. Stepson is signing the adoption papers for the foster parent to adopt so no more child support so hopefully no more cops showing up looking. These are good phenos for me. They train easy and they're so resilient. The smoke is great. Yeah, I may go ahead and cut a few more.

Building an outdoor Bar for a friend.. coming up a treat, milling up some very nicely featured timbers to build the bar top with.. I’ll pop some more shots up once it’s done.

Just weighed up 4lb, 3oz from under the first light.. I think all that training has paid off pretty well after all, if the other half of the room can match that then I will have a new PB.. fingers crossed. And I think my second room is shaping up very nicely also, am treating a few spidermite hotspots I found with some Persimilis predatory mites and they seem to be keeping that under control.

The pantyhose worked dude! Haven't seen any gnats inside or out. The plants are taking off. You're right , I need a net. I ordered one today. The new cuttings are still healthy. A couple more weeks and I should be able to transplant to bigger pots. These plants are way too bushy since I had to remove all the stakes and tie downs. These are taking longer than last time but are way healthier.
