you carved that cameo? if so, thats amazing work, i cut n polish gemstones for a living, so i know how hard that would be to carve

Carbide round burs make quick work of removing large amounts of material right away and the detail is done with very sharp gravers. I don't carve shell anymore. Keeping equipment in good shape around the water is hard and the shell dust is supremely toxic to breathe in
