My water heater said fuck you too. I got rid of my freaking Samsung frig all on my own. I hated that thing. Its' ice maker kept freezing up and all their models like that did and they KNEW it! grrrr

Anyway just finished installing a lovely tankless water heater so I'm getting hot water for Christmas. I smell much better but the dog's aren't sure about that.
W/circulation pump?
My tankless, exterior w/circulation pump, is right outside my master suite bathroom. Can hear that thing sleeping if I don’t have the fan on but def hear it while in the bathroom when on. But! The trade off is worth it for sure. I put in a tankless in Paradise without circ pump and it took fricken days to get hot water to the furthest fixture lol. Which was the kitchen sink. Kinda pissed me off. My plumber brother who hooked it up said “I told you!”

 no and I wanted one. I got the best I could get that was in stock locally. I actually wanted a Bradford White with recirc then I'd have to put in a bypass but I was ok with that. Unfortunately Fergusons couldn't assure me of a delivery date and it was a minimum of a week out and I wasn't willing to not have hot water until then. So I went with a less expensive 9.5 gpm with no recirculating pump as opposed to the 11.2 gpm with a recirculating pump but no definite delivery date. So far with it's first full day of operation today I don't notice any difference in heating time compared to my old BW 50 gallon tank. But you can put a pump externally too. We'll see, early days for me with a tankless.

I forgot to update what I did about the engine I pulled from the silverado.
I changed plans and bought another donor 2500hd. Same truck same year :-). Same engine(6.0) same trans(4l80e) engine only has 130K and the transmission was just rebuilt. Crazy because my 4l80e lasted 380K which I just had rebuilt. But anyways it makes more sense to “freshen up” the LQ4 from the donor truck, which i’m currently doing, and throw that in the silverado. Sell the spare trans/transfer case and have shitloads of spare parts for my truck.
I’m going to build up the LQ4 from my truck into a stroker all forged rotating assembly. New heads and cam blah blah blah and throw it into a pre-smog K5 Blazer i want to build out.
The donor truck was 2400. I’ll get 1000 easy for the spare trans+transfer case. I make out like a bandit. :hump:

i fired up the engine in the donor truck before buying of course.

Back in the spring I had ants in the riverhouse. They were going after the sweat in my clothes. I know now what they mean by antsy after putting on my underwear in the dark. No real damage to me, but they cut lots of little holes in my favorite pair of walking underwear. They still work, but the wife was always on me to buy new ones. She went as far as looking up some on Amazon. They were Hanes like the old ones, they looked the same and had the right amount of Spandex, so I told her to go ahead and get them.

So they came. A three pack in red, blue and black. And on the outside they did look like my old pair. But on the inside around the "pouch" there was an elastic fence. You have all seen the old Westerns where they put the unbroken horse into the corral for the first time. That's how I felt. Anyway, I am able to wear them inside out, but they still are not comfortable.

The good news is that I found a pair of New Balance underwear at the thrift store last week. Really like them a lot. I also got two pairs of Michael Adams. Too much cotton but would work in a pinch.
