Seedsherenow has the dj short blueberry cut. I haven’t flowered it out yet, but I’ve heard you need to grow it organically to get the true blueberry flavor. I’ve heard it doesn’t do as well with salt nutrients.
nope if you quote something that needs to be deleted because of a tos violation i have to remove yours too. or else it stays there.

This right here.
Every time I hear of someone hunting through DJs blueberry it ends up a disappointment with NO or very little berry flavor at all.
I've given up my blueberry hunt knowing I'll never find what I'm looking for again.
Until someone successfully releases S1s or S2s of it....that's the only way I'd try it.
I've moved on to search through Dynasty Genetics (professor p) and his Huckleberry and Oregon Blueberry crosses.
The Oregon Blueberry goes back as far as DJs and was a phenotype of Purple Thai.....gives great blueberry flavor and potency.....in the 90s it was considered close to as good as DJs

I found a good keeper from a pack of twinkle tarts from eso seeds.
It made really nice rosin. Smelled so good i wanted to spread it on toast

I grew out a few DJ BB outdoors and they were very BB smelling, but not so much smoking.
I've been smoking weed for 45 years and I can't say that I have much of anything that "tastes" upon smoking like it's name would suggest. Yes, sometimes there will be a smell that is somewhat representative of the name when smoking.
Maybe I'm arguing semantics.

Best BB I ever had was from a med dispo in nor cal around 2015, maybe earlier than that, can't remember exactly. Fresh blueberry terps not really sweet, but strong and recognizable, that came through in the smoke. Nice well-being, perma-grin high. I'd call it a hybrid effect I guess. Didn't tire me out. Nice smoke and everything but honestly, nothing that makes me want to hunt it down. Blueberry was one of the first over hyped strains I can remember. Late 90's to early 2000's you'd think Blueberry was delivered from God herself, and DJ was like her archangel lol.

So, I got into a little conversation with someone on strainly, that claims dj short didn’t even breed blueberry, but stole it from a biker group. They said that the same blueberry was also given to a woman who went by the name Outkast, on the forums, who helped a lot of people medically with herb and died of cancer recently.
This Outkast blueberry is supposedly the legit blueberry, same as DJ’s, and the same lineage is apparently used by the breeder Inkognyto. Sounds like a crazy story, and a way to sell seeds too. Well, I grabbed some of these outkast blueberry seeds and some crosses with it, because I’m a hopeless dreamer and wanted something “blueberry“ in my library.

If you didn't have the pre99; or even the 2000 version - then you smoked something that probably shouldn't have been called blueberry.
My first experience was with the pre99 Blueberry muffin pheno and I was simply amazed.....never knew weed could taste like that....it was simply amazing.
My 2nd was in 2004 with the blueberry sativa.....the nugs were literally light north Carolina blue; which again i had never knew was possible I've seen every shade of purple but never light ass blue.....and the terps put every strain I've smoked to this day to shame.....even the tastiest weed available today isn't anywhere close.

Thought I'd share my first and only blueberry story. My brother sent me a little less than an eighth(I'm sure he probably smoked some of it) to me in Hawaii for my 18th-19th? birthday, so this is pre99.
It was small rock hard frosty nugs that were light neon green with a blueish/purple tinge and smelled exactly like blueberries. I was excited to roll it up and smoke out my friend's with some Nor Cal bud.
The smell carried over in the flavor when smoking, and the high had me paranoid at the start and later turned in to giggles.Called him the next day to ask what that was since it got us all high as fk and he told me blueberry and it was all over the area.
Sad to hear I probably won't ever have that experience again.

I popped bodhi blueberry hash plant, and blueberry pancake from @MIRedBuds looking for a tasty rosin strain. I grew 1 outta like 15 blue dream plants that had good blueberry terps

Funny thing about that....There was a local stoner/content provider who decided to go to several different dispensaries and buy Blue Dream from each place. When he got them back to test them, they all looked different, smelled different and tasted different! I have nothing against Blue Dream.....IF it's a good one....I don't want Blue Nightmare!

I started blueberry muffin and blue dream last week...huge thanks to @VaSmile for those.
I also won a pack of blueberry reg on another site I've started some of those aswell.
I've also coastal blueberry left to grow, it gets good reviews but the one I flowered wasn't what I was after (no blueberry) but I'll get around to growing them at some point.
Coastal blueberry anyone grown it?

Tastes of almost blueberry lol...you get hints of sweet blueberry but Huckleberry is indeed what I would call this flavor as it's slightly different than blueberry.
This is from Dynasty Genetics and is a cross of Oregon Blueberry x Morning Glory (Afghan x Skunk x hawaiian).
It's 60/40 indica; but imo the sativa effects are what shines through.
I have seeds of Mt Hood Huckleberry (dynasty) and Huckleberry S1 (strayfox).
I believe there are Blueberry gems to be found; especially in the S1s.
