Instead of Recharge - PEEcharge.
Normally when you're growing in organic soil, especially living soil, you don't water to runoff, but since you were using bottled nutes, it might not be a bad idea.I run off to test Ppm/ph. Not allot. Maybe 1 or 2 solo cups of runoff.
It’s not the rechargeWell I let her dry and put ffof on top. I watered with tap water that was left out to decloroeinate. No nutrients at all.
6.0 going in and 7.4 is at run off. 500ppm I poured about 2 gallons and run off was still 7.2ish. She is getting a bit worse each day. I think I should have put more water...
Is it possible the recharge has anything to do with raising the ph of soil? Did that make sense? Still trying to figure out what I did wrong. Was i supposed to allow run off with recharge bc I only had a tiny bit of run off bc I didn't want to waste what I was putting on there.
Either way, I am going to let her dry again and see how she looks. The bottom leaves are sagging badly. In 6th week of flower but looks like she could finish on the early side hopefully (8 weeks) but 9 probably more realistic...
I'm praying she makes it.. I'll feed next time shes dry about 900ppm I figure...
So I've heardIt’s not the recharge
Yet you keep going back to the same thought that recharge somehow fucked up your plants. Look, at thisnpoint if deep in flower, the damage is done. Next time, pay more attention to watering the plant correctly from seedling. I recommend using coco since it can dry out and doesn't go hydrophobic. I promise you, the recharge isn’t the culprit. We have all overwatered, underwatered, over fed and under fed plants and we all make mistakes. My first grows sucked, but as time went on i gained experience and now it’s pretty easy to get to the end, just a matter of being consistent and listening to your plants. So I've heard

If u want, i can show you my plants in week 6 and i can feed them recharge at 3x the recommended amount so u can see that recharge isn't hurting your plants, most likely you are. Not trying to be an asshole, just the truth.
To me it sounds more like a ppm buildup causing lockout. I did an entire run without adjusting ph and had no lockouts, but i always feed to runoff and since i have it draining, no standing water at the bottom.I understand where you're coming from. I'm just spitballing trying to solve this is all... when you first started I'm sure you read every advice with a grain of salt bc experiences vary. I admit I can be a bit stubborn until I know for sure the problem, in general.
Most signs point to nutrient lockout. Perhaps bc of the 7.4 ph run off. Any idea why the ph would rise ? I tent to water and check run off and make sure it's within 6-6.5 at run off.
Yet this time only it is 7.4ish. Could overfeeding cause this?
What is the EC on your runoff? It's more important to monitor than pH IMO.I understand where you're coming from. Agreed. It’s not the recharge
It was high yes.To me it sounds more like a ppm buildup causing lockout. I did an entire run without adjusting ph and had no lockouts, but i always feed to runoff and since i have it draining, no standing water at the bottom.
Have u measured ppm at runoff? Maybe very high
Actually that sounds logical. I do water to run off though. The only time I really didn't was while watering with recharge yet I dare not say it was the recharge. To me it sounds more like a ppm buildup causing lockout. I watered last night it was 500ppm at run off but was 1700 the time b4. . It must have been that. A bit of buildup cause high ppm ?After going back to the og post, u said u feeding up to 1300. Give the plant plain water, and measure ur runoff ppm. Update us.
I'm realizing this after the fact and starting new grow im coco with Gaia green 444 and the bloom one.... ffof no more.... but iv am new and figured soil was easiestSince you're using soil, why the bottled nutes? I never take ph or ec readings when in organic soil. Just feed the microbes in the soil, and they'll do the rest for you. If you want to do bottled nutes, why not switch to coco?
Just get a cheap one for now, but it would be wise to invest in a bluelab or apera ppm meter. It’s hard to say, but even if u were watering to runoff, u could still have buildup of salts. Depends how much runoff, how much ec going in, how dialed in the environment is which will affect how much water or food the plant takes in.It was high yes.

I did have high ppm also I just remembered.. 1700ppm. Could one time skipping runoff lead to salt buildup? I don't think I have e c meter but I should get one.
Soil is easiest, but it's more suited to organic growing, than it is for bottled nutes.I'm realizing this after the fact and starting new grow im coco with Gaia green 444 and the bloom one.... ffof no more.... but iv am new and figured soil was easiest
Those are organic ferts; not saying it won’t work with coco, but coco+salts is usually the goto. Organic ferts tend to work better in soil, coco is a soilless medium.I'm realizing this after the fact and starting new grow im coco with Gaia green 444 and the bloom one.... ffof no more.... but iv am new and figured soil was easiest
