How to deal with home heat

Approaching winter, seeds are cracked, and now I am waiting for them to pop out of the peat.

I am going to be running a 10x10, with a single IONFRAME EVO8 730W for now. I am worried about the heat from the house hvac and wondering how people are dealing with their grow. I want to do this the legit way. I could just close the air register at the ceiling, this would increase the static pressure on the HVAV system in the house. Or add a damper?

Other than dedicated intake and exhaust fans, I have 4x 9" clip on fans. I have nothing else for cooling the tent.

I have a nearby window, but I really do not want to go that route of using outside air to cool the tent.

What are your thoughts and what is everyone doing? Edit: Do I just need to fork out and get a small ac unit for when the light is on?

Is that 10x10 foot tent? I wouldn't worry about closing a heat register, people frequently do. I've been doing it for years. Will you be running in the summer? What is the max wattage you plan to run?

Yes, it is a 10x10 foot tent. I was either going to frame out the bedroom and panda film everything or go the tent route.

It is overkill but it gives me room to grow and I like that I have the entire area contained.

I will be starting the seedlings under some small ion propagation lights. Then I have a XS1500 Pro that I will be starting the veg under. Once they need more light I'll kick on the 730w light but probably run it at only the necessary power. Towards the end I will be running it full power.

Unless you're growing in a basement, if you got windows in your home: use them?

I‘d run a test of your lights, to see how how it gets at full power. That way you know how much of an issue you’re dealing with. That single light, in that much open space, shouldn’t be a huge heat producer. People often run 700+ watts in a 5x5 tent, which is 1/4 of your space. If you can vent the heat from that room elsewhere with some ducting, it should take care of most of that issue.

Best answer so far. More data needed. Run a sustem test 24 hours of max heat and then minimum humidity like in late flower. Moving humidity means moving heat and that needs to be accounted for. Post results and I bet you post with an answer.

Why not vent into your ventalation ducts? This will keep hvac heat from coming into your lung room and save your furnace some effort of keeping your house warm? Thats what my grow mentor did back in the HPS days, we were chillin in the kitchen in our boxers in the middle of a michagan winter

I was just about to mention that, I exhaust into my cold air return to the furnace.

I decided to test it again and let the fan exhaust into the room for 1.5 hours, the temp went up, the AC Infinity fan speed increased and humidity went from 44 to 48.
Enough of that, test teminated!

The only issue I have with that is potentially too much humidity going into my central AC.

I am going to setup the tent and run everything and report back.
