The plant that thought it was an auto...

Yeah, I've got a photo here. Her sister plants are all in full flower. Hell, it may even show balls at flip. Just not sure what I have here. I'd planned on low screening an auto but it is what it is.
IMG_20241115_114834209.jpg

All 2.5" of her bounding upwards... yeah lol. Slow girl but I've grown attached now so she going to bloom for me sometime. I'd say she's got a solid month of veg ahead.
IMG_20241115_114513798.jpg

Lets call her Gorilla Glue as labeled but not an auto. I've since removed her restraints. I want her to grow upwards a little. It's already got a good shape for a floater.

Clones n clones...

GreenCrack MangoHp
2 are almost in full reveg and one is just getting started. Dunno how many I'll grow out next run but good to have them available.
IMG_20241112_182305552.jpgIMG_20241112_182229240.jpgIMG_20241112_182436096.jpg

Cap Junky clones are popping out growth all over now. I have 3 but only running two in flower. Save the other for later.
IMG_20241112_182111530.jpg

I've got them laid down pretty hard but this is common in early training of regular clones.
IMG_20241112_181500126.jpg

I guess I'm going for the candy cane effect here. I've got her pretty twisted up but she don't seem to mind. It just keeps kicking out future bud sites.
IMG_20241112_181032969.jpg
I found a use for the extra scrap pieces of wire from the floaters. Cut them into some nice tie downs. I like the small diameter wire versus the fat green garden wire. These drive deep into the medium and stay put. Plants have a hard time pushing these up.

Strawberry Banana clone. Oh what a mess she is. Last grow this thing clumped up in the center and made a larf farm. It's a very leaf strain so I've abandon the training screen and went to some individual tie downs for a little while. It gives me a little more control sorting through and guiding branches. I want that center top to grow out and I'll thin it a little before it goes into flower. I don't want a repeat.

Cjc91 clone...
Laid a flower size floater on top of the trainer today. From what I can see I need about 4 more inches of growth and it will be ready for flower.
IMG_20241113_135124269.jpg
I want all tall growth at the perimeter. Maybe this will be ready for flower next week.

How bout some pics around the 4x8 flower tent..?

Blue Moon Rocks....5 wks 12/12
Phat ass buds developing on this one. Not a typical spread in the floater. These never fully revegged as clones. I flowered them anyways. It's working fine. I just didn't get the branching I normally get. Oh well, I will next run.

SFV OGbx3....5 wks 12/12
Another one not totally revegged but I think she's doing fine. Healthy thick girl.

Cap Junky...almost 7 wks 12/12 She's a frosty gal.
IMG_20241115_184629932.jpgIMG_20241115_184719094.jpg

Ive got a lot more going on. Weeks from another harvest so I'm staging the veg tents with some clones and new seed runs. So, more to come soon. Thanks for dropping in.

Clones n more....

The GreenCrack MangoHp flowering clones are getting shaggy. Got weeks of growth to go before flower but they are coming on fast.

New arrival flowering clone. Cap Junky Chem91 plant #3. Big girl from the last grow. Largest producer of the three cjc91s.
IMG_20241117_124836317.jpg
Cap Junky...plant #1 regular clones. Been training them to the max and they are responding well. Two will hit flower when it's time.
IMG_20241117_124744320.jpg
3 Bag of Oranges....new arrival from photo from seed. Got all three up potted to 1gal bags. Should be taking off soon
IMG_20241117_124849690.jpg
Another Cap Junky plant #3 flowering clone is almost ready for a pot. I'll have some reruns in this grow and a few seed plants.

Trainwreck....(Premium Seed Market) two are up and will be repotted soon.
ForgetMeNot...(Jaws Genetics) Two are up.

I need just two females from this regular seed. Let's see what I get.

Getting busy in veg tents. Some flowering some trying to get there.

The Cap Junky Chem91 plant #1 is almost ready for a big screen and flower. Letting it gain some height.
IMG_20241118_125622185.jpgIMG_20241118_125834627.jpg

The Strawberry Banana is coming along. Prob a few weeks or more before this one can flower. Once it gains a little more height from the center growth I'll throw on a small floater. Since this bunched up so bad last run I'm going to let the undergrowth get taller this time. Really spread this girl out.
IMG_20241118_125828728.jpg

The mystery plant. Once thought to be auto yet has no flowers at 5-6wks. I've released her restraints. All except the main. I'll hold that back till the secondaries get some height. Probably a month of growth to go before flower.
IMG_20241118_125816755.jpg

Trainwreck and ForgetMeNots. 2 eat up potted to 1gal pots. Got stoned and can find my damn 1gal bags..lol. I prefer them over the plastic pots.
IMG_20241118_125805382.jpgIMG_20241118_125801043.jpg

Running a few autos. Just did some training on this one. It's responded well. Lots of colas bouncing around.IMG_20241118_135335697.jpg
Two others I'm running under a small floater screen. They don't seem to mind at all.

I have to tell you. You're grows always look real strong/healthy as all get out. I remember you saying you stay with Jack's. Do you do the 321? Or is it a mix for veg and something different for flower? I run organic and layer my Fox Farm Ocean Forest. It seems to have it's limit going to flower. Nice job working them autos in there.

Thanks man, autos aren't my favorite..lol

I use Jack's 202020 and Bloom103020 in flower. I add calcium nitrate and Epsom in tap water.

Here's the deal. 1/4tsp classic or bloom plus calnit, epsom per gallon. Every watering from seedling to harvest. Only time I don't feed these amounts is the first seedling feeding. 1/8 for the first week then up to 1/4 the rest of the way.

I meter nothing. No need to. The promix buffers my ph well. Trusting a product is hard at first but it works.

I use promix HP Myco. Nothing added. Right outta the bag.

My grows usually have larger thick branches due to me manipulating and training plants. It seems to cause the stems to thicken. All good stuff for the plants. Builds a good base.

Got the cjc91 plant #1 flowering clone fitted with a bigger floater screen. A little while longer training things outward. Then I'll release the hold down and reposition the floater for the final time. Off to flower real soon. Hopefully by this weekend.

It's getting ready to happen. We'll be ice-skating on that canopy it will be so flat.

Lol well, flat isn't exactly what I'm seeking here. I've done some floaters that were trained down. Leaves me some shorter colas and a carpet of buds in the screen.

Lately I've been playing with training times and find if I just train for a week and let them go I get a taller deeper canopy. A few may inch above the others but all in all Im ending up with 10-14 colas. Using the floaters I can guide all tall growth to the perimeter. Allowing the taller growth to mature without blocking new growth below.
Ya can see they aren't all low but I've still controlled the height.
IMG_20241103_195153544.jpg
The idea is getting all the taller growth to the perimeter. You end up with large colas surrounding the smaller growth. This smaller growth will emerge from the center adding more buds to the mix.

Awsome! How low are we talking, as far as canopy height? And after a week you release your training clips? Or do you hand train by twisting the stems to soften them first? Then tie them down? I understand it can be strain dependent as some do better than others.

My canopy heights vary right now. Mainly because I'm trying different timing and training in flower. The tallest cola in my 4x8 is 36" from the floor. Leaving me a ton of headroom for my lamps.

No clips or ties needed in a scrog. Ya use the screen to control and train the plant. If ya time it right with a floater you can really spread out a plant under the screen.

I often use flowering clones. You can see the difference in branching. The one in the background is a seed grow.
IMG_20241011_190418517.jpg

To guide a branch wherever I want her I crush n bend her to my will..lol. Not a lot of that is needed once the floater is set but ya get stubborn ones now n then. I do more bending and twisting prior to the floater screens. That makes for a nice base for the plant to build from.

Good info. Thank you for sharing some of your skills! Now in your pro mix do you still keep perlite around 25-30% perlite? I ran Jack's back when it was Peter's Profesional. Is their 20-20-20 blue in color?
