I used to have an air pump with two stones in my bucket, but the pump went super loud so I trashed it.
Didn't wanna wait till it goes up in smoke or something it was very old.
It might sound weird, but I seem to have had better root developement with that thing.
What do you guys think? Buy a new one simply put more nutes 4 the roots next time?
(:

Lol, you have your post in the led and lighting section for a soil/bubbler question. How many boxes of cereal do you think a store would sell if they put them in the oil section? Not saying you will get a huge response, but putting the question where it belongs might be a helpful start. I don’t understand exactly what you did and are asking, did you put an air stone in your soil? Your question leaves one guessing more than anything. You say soil in the title, then bucket in the text, perhaps wording the question properly would help as well. Good luck, welcome to RIU.

It's in the Indoor Growing forum under LED section which fits me.
I wouldn't neccessarily say it belongs into Grow room / setup, so where do you want me to put it exactly.
And if you don't understand my question, the lol is on you, good sir.

Ofc the air stone goes into the water tank, not into the soil, duh.

If you want more oxygen in your root zone use fabric pots instead of buckets and add extra perlite. If you want to make a bunch of noise and probably wear out an air pump quickly… or you could give hydro a shot it’s fun

I'm using fabric pots.
I was also thinking about buying extra perlite for the next round that's a great idea, I agree.

Ok, I’m supposed to know if you’re in soil, dwc, rdwc, dtw just by what you said in the first post? The lack of information given clearly shows your lack of understanding how to ask for assistance. I was trying to help but Never mind and good day, no need for me to help someone who criticizes for asking for clarification.

For normal media like soil and coco the nr 1 factor for oxygen is watering frequency (with a dry pot). When you flood the pot with water and let it drian out of the media the water volume needs to be replaced with something: air gets drawn into the media from outside. If you do this without a dry pot theres a part of the roots that is constantly sitting in water, thats not healthy and can lead to rott.
This basicly means you want to have a media that drains easily and a container of the right size for your plant and its watering needs.

I had to solve another problem about a week ago, for some reason sometimes my watt meter only registered half the lights and I was running 800w while it showed 450w and I was wondering why everything was outta whack for some time (high temps, high moisture, then all of the sudden everything dried out super quickly) my leaves clawed even tho I was not overwatering or overfeeding at all. (went all the way down to 0,6 ec and shit was not recovering still...)

I took out all the plugs and put 'em back in now it seems to show the right numbers and the temps and moisture are perfect now.
Probably the roots were also not having a great time, that's why I was wondering about the bubbler.

All good in the hood now, at least the plants are recovering nicely and looking pretty awesome rn.
You can check out my grow journal and take a peek, I'd appreciate some likes.

Ac watt meters have a tendency to do that, if you get a smart relay with bluetooth youll have more reliability. I thought sonoff would do it but no luck, at least with my box. Hoping to get some working with Shelly relays.
