Even though I gave out 20 clones my Lemon Cookies Skunk did not survive the pig rampage and pillage last year. Sad. It had such a pleasant and satisfying high. Real medicine. It was for outdoor growers in VA.IMG_20240601_121254_01.jpg
Skunk#1 x AnimalCookies/Chocolope.

I have the parental lines. It's on the back burner. Skunk#1 preservation comes first. Honestly, the last really satisfying indica hybrid I had was Canadian. Twenty years ago. Romulan x Chemo f2's that had a great pleasant and satisfying high. Some looked like Romulan and others were earthy Chemo.

I gave away a fourth cut in VA. to another VA. breeder. They wouldn't say anything about it when I saw them last weekend. I hope he threw it in the trash.

I got a pack of that and his super Skunk! Looking forward to popping them early in the new year :-D
I got 2 packs of the Super Skunk a while back.

Im really really interested, in the Skunk 1. Id really like to eventually breed it with a Crickets and Cicada Puck BC3, and a Crickets and Cicada Pacific Northwest Hashplant BC2.
Id probably use the Skunk 1, as the Female.
Id like to compare my cross, to a C&C Skunk x Puck BC2.

Then, Id like to take a Female sativa hybrid like a Cuban Black Haze, Bandaide Haze XI 3.0, Top Dawg Black Haze, Relic Cough.

Or something really long flowering like Bodhi Watermelon Hashplant, or Khalifa Genetics Chellakutti-Kerela.

And cross a female haze hybrid, and a Skunk/PNWHP -And Puck BC3-Male to the long flowering sativas.

Skunk#1 is excellent to breed with. I still prefer the pure skunk over any hybrids I made. Tonight I was getting lemon lime terps like the skunk x Thai/haze I made in 2015.

I still may call off the breeding project. I am impatient waiting for the male flowers to open and not keen to eff up this sinsemilla.

An old school hashplant cross would be nice. I have crossed it to indica females and got vigor, terps and potency from it. My plants right now smell amazing. I've grown it poorly before and when you get it down right it's like a different plant because the quality can increase exponentially. I don't know if my seed crop is going to come off now. I really want to make regular seeds. I had to wait for STS to come in the mail and I am past when I wanted to pollinate. My inner voice is saying make sinsemilla.
At least I did not put it in tissue culture. Our local guy had a power outtage and all genetics were lost.

Hashplant??

Crickets and Cicada Puck BC3.

Puck, is also known as Skelly Hashplant.

The genetics are basically.
Pacific Northwest Hashplant-Clone Only, from the early 80s x NL1. Male was found from this cross, and backcrossed, to the PNWHP Mother-creating what is known as Hashplant. I call it Nevils Hashplant, as it was a HP strain, created by Nevil.

Puck/Skelly, is a Phenotype that was found from a pack of Nevils Hashplant, brought back from Holland, in 1987-88. I believe they were sewn, into a sweater.

It is called Puck/Skelly, because a guy nicknamed Skelly, kept his weed in a container, that resembled a hockey Puck.
At the time, Nevil said the Hashplant, was the most potent weed, he ever smoked.

Bob Hemphill/Hannaboldt, originally worked on the First Release, for 4 years, before they released it. Few, put in this kind of work.

Bob, also has the Original Pacific Northwest Hashplant Clone Mother. And also has original NL1, from 1985, that he bought personally.
To create the Puck BC3, he worked extensively, with the original genetics.

These are slow growing, little to no side branching, and dont produce much. Nevil said they are not suitable, for commercial use, and sold this stuff, only to select clients, who would pay more money for it. It is a great breeding tool, and brings potency to everything it touches.

Another one he has is the Pacific Northwest Hashplant BC2, but they sell out as fast as he can release them. It was the same with the first release of the Puck BC1. He didnt make many of the original release, for one, because the Puck, is finicky, and doesnt produce a lot of seeds. So next time, he had more females to breed too.

NWSun, on Strainly has C&C PNWHP x NL1 BC1 F2 repros, for $45 a pack, which is a steal, for these genetics. I bought 2 packs, and got one free. I asked if my free seeds, could be the same as what I bought, and he sent me a whole pack. Same for a couple other strains I got from him. Hes really good to deal with, and his prices are cheap, for what you get.

NWSun, also has the C&C Silk Road. Red Lebanese Hashplant x Puck BC1-F2. These were only released one time, amost 3 years ago, and have never been re-released. NWSun, did and F2 repro. I also got 2 packs. I think $60 a pack.

Red Leb, was Howard Marks favorite weed, and I believe this specific clone used, was Howards favorite. For those that dont know. Howard Marks-Is aka Mr Nice. RIP.

IMG_20240926_051026.jpgIMG_20240927_003650.jpg Only one short life and so many strains to grow now. I think we all feel sentimental about the ones we had when we were young. I have lost so much from persecution of the pig people. This is the thing that can save me or at least let me live with kick ass medicine. The lemon lime terps have really come on and it's a joy to grow. Didn't notice the wingless thrips until late but they have been dealt with harshly.

Skunk#1 what a beauty. Oh I heard the story of some VA. guy saying he invented skunk#1 or some such garbage...I am a VA. guy and there are a shitload of imposters. This is the real slim shady skunk. There were other slim shady skunks like the Charlottesville, but this Watson line is just skunk fire.

Today's budshot. I gave the plants a heaping teaspoon of Gaia green recently and I think that will be the last. I do not want to overfertilize these sativas. There is room for improvement as I adapt to my water source and environment. The spinosad worked very well on the thrips.IMG_20240928_043028.jpg
I am finding that I am going to have to use more oyster shell flour and gypsum in my soil mix for calcium issues now that I use R/O water.IMG_20240928_042928.jpg

I gotta say I am excited to be growing this again. I have always wanted to grow this like corn. This cultivar taught me more about how to grow good pot than any other. You can get amazing sungrown flower expressions that are so dank. I hope I do well this time.

I remember growing skunk#1 back in the 90’s. It was Sensi seed bank stock. Extremely uniform in structure and aroma. The “skunk” smell was there but a very sweet tropical fruit/flower smell and taste during consumption. Grew guerilla style up near Dexter NY with a few guys. Also had the real deal NL that was all pine like you licked sap. Some of the wonky early ones like early pearl and early girl. Would love to get some skunk 1 beans again. I have looked on Sensi’s site and I don’t believe it’s the same actual genetics. Would’ve loved to get the Haze x Thai x NL#5 from that era. It came with a warning label, lol. “Potential loss of bladder and bowel control. Only for experienced consumers”
