im not missing the point i just disagree why would every single published document ive read on growing say to pullem or seprate them all thogther then to scrub down ur grow room? are these people all just nuts and i should go with what a few people say on a interweb forums?
Firstly remember that just because something is in print doesnt mean its 100%.No matter how many other articles agree..
Dont believe me?? go take a look at how many laws of physics, biology etc are being re-written...and silly us have been taking them for gospel for aeons.
Its just that sometimes, things like growing techniques get passed on, and they may work but necessarily in the way described...
some books do kinda lean to a paranoia about hermies and such.

No ALL of those people aren't nuts, theyre just expressing their opinions and experiences, as are the folks who've replied in this thread so far.
you asked a question bout hermies, the boards members have given you their opinion/thoughts..That doesnt necessarily make them any less valid than anything you've read in a book.

sorry i'm waffling...:joint:
go steady all :)

Youre taking everything to an extreme. The pro's pull their plants if they get a hermie because they are pro's. They do everything by the book, and since a hermie CAN pollenate a female, they remove it. That doesnt necessarily mean that the hermie WILL pollenate the female. Thats the difference. For a pro, it may not be worth it to keep a hermie, but for us backyard growers, who put a lot of time and effort into each plant, it may be worth it to keep the hermie simply because of how much work and time it would take to replace it.

The point im making is that just because a hermie CAN pollenate your crop doesnt mean that it WILL, and even if it does, its negative effects will be minimal (only a few seeds), and youll still have the entire hermie to smoke.

I'd rather pick a few seeds out of some bud and have an entire nother plants worth of weed to smoke, than trashing that whole plant just so i dont have to pick a few seeds out.
WORD Senor!!

I respect that :hump: and see what ur saying but for me I would seclude them at the least, as i never need seeds anyways or want any, i clone. I just cant see why u would want to keep a hermie anyways unless ur super duper desperate for pot my last one only had 1 female preflower on it, it would not have yeiled but a half oz tops and possiable contaminate my whole area. I just dont see the pros outweighing the cons here.

you little kids can stop arguing about it now cause i cut it down. realize that people do things differently thats what makes up human. you may think your way is best and that is your opinion. is it worth two pages worth of childish banter in a forum that is meant to help people? i think not. thanks for all your worthwhile input.
