Outdoor light leakage

Hi. Had outdoor grows evry season for 20+ years. Recently with new laws have been able to grow legally outside in homes vegetable patch. Consistently plants have taken longer to finish in yard than others definitively at other spots with no light leakage from say, kitchen windows, cars pulling into driveway, or other minor lights that minorly hit plants. ? How much light leakage can actually affect the finish date of outdoor girls? A 60watt bulb 50 feet away, a 30 watt bulb 30 feet away?? Is there a scientific (formula?) that can determine this. Very frustrating when my friends girls in far off woods of same strain are finishing 20 days ahead of my homes garden.

That amount of lighting shouldn’t affect them, a 30 or 60 watt bulb inside is nothing, even near the window. Think about when the moon is full. Headlights, unless you park for hours with them on in front of the plants, same deal. To much light will cause revert, you’ll know it if that was the case. There are many reasons some plants take longer than others, genetics and health are the big ones.

It takes days for them of directly under street light to change their cycle.

Reason it is so important indoors is most grow in a living space and the constantly on light bulb is what causes the change over if they are night people.

But outdoor the light is usually so filtered and so far away that unless directly under it your good.

Example is my backyard. Slight light from the city lights and house interior lights but the other night the neighbors left their back porch light on and it lit my back patio up bright!

I put umbrellas up to protect it for the night. But if that of been every night for the rest of the flower stage it of caused issues.
