Thanks TC & Jester!

All is good with the girls! The Purple Kush is going to be kick ass, the Auroras, a bit slower but finally getting into gear:) I'm having a hard time getting the Purple Kush clones to root :wall: but they are not dieing either, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

my kush clones took ages to root. they looked pretty miserable but after 3 weeks they are all doing ok. 100% success which seems funny since i did a pretty ghetto job. as long as they aren't dying they will root. good luck.

I wouldnt worry too much either
if theyre still alive and doing well.... its still alive and doing well.....
unless u overkill them
"unity's right" as long as the plants alive that means the roots are doing its what theyre supposed to.. and obviously they are sufficient enuff for the plant to survive and like i said unless u overkill them in some way and make them die off and yeah u get the poin....

i myself have seen this happen a few times and its been ok a fair bit of the time the roots should start too take off sumtime

also a good root system is desirable but i have seen some kickass plants grown andwhen theyre ripped the root system would easily have fit in an icecream container with plenty of room to spare... unless they die or just go dismal (probly cos youve accidentally done something too fry them) they will probably surprise you bro
ya neva know

plants are living things remember so they find ways too cope
some ppl try to make it out to be a science which i personally agree with... but i also think like i said theyre living things and will try and cope on theyre own... it doesnt have to be a perfect environment for them just good enuff to live kinda like us ya know.. but put them inthe perfect environment and theyl be perfect themselvs

of course this is all from my daydreaming none of its true :P

Week 4 12/12. They are still alive and healthy, I don't know how I'm doing it, but I have managed not to kill them so far:hump:

The AI's started flowering a week behind the Kush, but it is starting to get busy as well.

They are starting to get a bit light, so I will probably up their nutes a tat. This may cause a problem with the Purple Kush , as she is happy as can be with the way things are.

I have started to bring my temps down to about 78 lights on and 70 lights off.

My Rockwool medium is staying balanced rather well with my current watering schedule. My EC is about .2 higher in the medium than in my res.
They get about 4.5 gallons a day, off which 30-40% is run off. My PH in the medium is between 6.0-6.4 and 5.5 in the res.
Keep in mind that I do not do res changes, so my waste is probably about the same as if I recirculated and did a res change once a week.

Well kinda, I usually have to take my gf to work first thing in the morning. Then I don't see the point in going back to sleep for like an hour before I have to go to work. :) Usually I come home and burn one before work, but unfortunately I've been dry for a couple days.

So I started to develop a def, I posted about it over in the plant problems area. Small rust spots are developing on some of the older leafs. In would say about 20% of old growth is affected. New growth is fine at the moment.
I do not like to over react to these things any more, so I measured my response, lol.

I do not think it is fungal (at least not in the root zone) since I use h202 from the very beginning of this grow and my res temps are well below 73 at all times.
I do not think it is fungal from the air up top since the way it is spreading is not like fungus or mold spread on a surface when it attacks it.
To me as well as some others it looks like a def. i.e. Mg. Another thing that could cause these symptoms is ozone damage, which is unlikely but possible, I guess. I do not generate ozone in my grow space, but I do run fans, a media type air purifier, a de-humidifier, ac etc. and I'm in a sealed environment, which could cause the ozone levels to spike in the room since I'm not venting during lights on and all electronics do emit some amount of ozone. I have a cycle timer that I will use to vent my sealed room for 1min. every 2 hours during lights on. I think that is a prudent practice no matter if my symptoms are related or not.

-I flushed with a mild nutrient solution (about 450 ppm), which gave me a chance to make sure that all my run-off perimeters are ok.
- I turned my chiller & circulation pump for the res back on (raises my res temps back to 69 from 60 and keeps it constant at 69) I read that uptake problems with certain elements can exist at lower temps. I don't know if that is so, but it is not a big deal to do, so why not!
- I increased my nutes from 6ml/g to 7 ml/g
- Added some silicone for stress relief to my res.
- increased Cal-Mag from 5ml/g to 10ml/g

I'll keep a close Eye on it. Any input is appreciated.

I'm not certain, but I think the rusty spots might be a cal. def.
Yeah I thought so too at first, but I was informed (rightly so) that calcium is an imobile nutrient, which means that new growth would be affected first.

Either way, the steps I've taken would address either ;)

Can't wait to get into the shroom thing on your threat:hump:.

They are starting to pick up steam :hump:
I upped the EC a bit to 2.0, mainly the extra Cal Mag & Big Bud.
Maybe I'm imagining it, but the Big Bud seems to be doing what it advertises, they grew quite a bit the last two days :)
At the chance of jinxing myself, I can smell a goood harvest :)
