Getting close to chop time?

Hello Everyone!

New grower here. I posted some pictures of these girls last week asking if the trichomes were mostly cloudy and the consensus was to give them some more time. A week layer, I'm thinking plant #1 is starting to get pretty cloudy, but has some clear still and could maybe use a bit more time still. Plant #2 looks mostly cloudy to me, and in a couple of the less clear pictures I didn't post, you can see some of the trichomes starting to get a bit of an amber hue. Plant #3 looks the cloudiest to me and looks like it could be getting close to chop time, based on overall appearance as well. I think I may keep all 3 going a couple more days at least. What do you guys think? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure some will say "couple more weeks" but I would have no problem chopping now. Looks good.

Really nice looking! I like a bit more amber and would give it a week or so, but that’s a personal preference, if you like a more energetic high, you could chop anytime.

Really nice looking! I like a bit more amber and would give it a week or so, but that’s a personal preference, if you like a more energetic high, you could chop anytime.

I figured I was at a spot where I could kinda go either way. I think I'm gonna take them down this week. Thanks for the input!

You can always Pre-trim ( leaf ) while plant stays “ in pot “ - that way they will begin a slower dry while in medium ( pulling last moisture out ) then drying “ on the vine “” as it were.

This will allow you to cut plant free when dry or when you want to hang. Lessening the drama of trimming a fully cut plant.

I tend to do this to save space …. Once i feel they are getting close to jar or need a little more dry - i will break down nugs and mesh rack them until ready.

I guess you could but i rely on ambient temps being in the range i need to begin dry without it drying to fast . Usually i leave up to a week lets say then deconstruct buds to finish. Sometimes i put pretrimmed plants into a dark unused tent until i feel like cutting completely. I run a passive inlet and extraction fan in tent ( lights are off / unplugged ) with a hygrometer to monitor. Dark tent does nothing for plant other than reducing photosynthesis and allowing me to cut down when i feel like it.

My room is 69-77 degrees and approximately 60% rh and it's quite hard to get the humidity much off that mark, even with dehumidifiers running 24/7. I have been able to get it down to about 58%. Do you know what that might mean for drying? Any idea whether it would be better to dry it in the tent I grew it in, or maybe outside the tent hanging from my ceiling? I really can’t judge your particular set of circumstances around your grow since there might be some variables . But it seems you are in a good range. With my suggestions and those from others - judge what will be as close to where you want to be. Some say 59-62% , others something else. I usually target 61-62% rh in jar then drop to 58. I kind of prefer 58% ( integra or boveda pack ) over the regular 62% ( in jar ).

Awesome, I should be pretty good then. I'll be aiming for 58% myself. I've always liked my bud a bit of the drier side. Thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions!
