Ex-Trump aide: Former president called supporters "basement dwellers"
What she's saying: "Behind closed doors, Trump mocks his supporters — calls them 'basement dwellers,'" Grisham said during her DNC speech in Chicago.
"When people were dying in the ICU, he was mad that cameras weren't watching him," she alleged in an apparent reference to the early stages of the COVID pandemic.
"He has no empathy. He has no morals and no fidelity to the truth."

First Vance now RFK. How many anchors can the bad ship GOP carry before it capsizes I wonder.

Lots of rats abandoning that sinking ship already and they're the ballast.

:peace:
IMO the people leaving were the ones in the middle. Trump people will never leave. RFK's people will split evenly I think so he doesn't matter at all.

In the end it's the electoral that worries me. Dems have the majority vote again but not the states. Going to be close.

Capt. Bonespurs ( “ Birthmarks “ ) deferment

View attachment 5418221
No mention of draft status classification or deferment - just his draft card

What *I* find odd about it is his lottery # (IIRC) - which seems to be either 63 (3-year paid vacation in SE Asia), or 580 (statues will be called to serve before #580)

My # was 65, but I was 4H, not 1A: they told me if the Vietcong landed @ Savannah, I’d be issued a rifle & driven to the coast…but I got to know a great bunch o’ guys @ AFEES, including the CMO (my file was abt 4” thick)

The Isaac Hayes estate is taking Donald Trump to court.

On Friday (Aug. 23), the late soul singer’s son Isaac Hayes III announced on social media that a federal judge had granted his father’s estate an emergency hearing in their lawsuit against the former president, who has been using “Hold On, I’m Coming” without authorization during multiple campaign rallies.

“The Federal Court has granted our request for an Emergency Hearing to secure injunctive relief,” Hayes III wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Donald Trump, the RNC, Trump, Trump for President Inc. 2024, Turning Point and The NRA are required to appear in court September 3rd, 2024 at the Northern U.S. District Federal Court in Atlanta. See you in court.”

He added the following day, “We demand the cessation of use, removal of all related videos, a public disclaimer, and payment of $3 million in licensing fees by August 16, 2024. Failure to comply will result in further legal action.”

Hayes died Aug. 10, 2008, at the age of 65. He and David Porter wrote “Hold On, I’m Coming,” which was recorded by soul duo Sam & Dave, and issued on the Stax label in 1966, peaking at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

WOW - Brainworm Kennedy has got some interesting “ hobbies “ …..

The two traveled to Squaw Island in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, not far from the Kennedy compound, after hearing that a whale had washed ashore.

According to Kick, her father had rushed to the scene with a chainsaw, where he cut off the whale’s head. He then proceeded to tie it to the roof of his family’s minivan and drive it five hours back to Mount Kisco, New York.

“Every time we accelerated on the highway, whale juice would pour into the windows of the car, and it was the rankest thing on the planet,” Kick told the outlet. “We all had plastic bags over our heads with mouth holes cut out, and people on the highway were giving us the finger, but that was just normal day-to-day stuff for us.”

Last month, Kennedy tried to get ahead of a wild storyabout picking up a bear cub carcass off the side of the road, and then ditching the body in Central Park when he didn’t have time to take it home, and mutilating it to make it look like it had been hit by a biker because he thought it would be funny. After the story broke, Kennedy told a group of reporters that he picked up roadkill his “whole life” and has a “freezer full of it.” That seems more and more true every day.

While it’s not clear that it’s the same vehicle, in a 2023 interview with Kennedy, New York magazine’s Olivia Nuzzi noted that Kennedy’s “dog car”—a beat up Toyota minivan—smelled so rank she thought that she “might pass out after about 15 seconds riding shotgun.”

WEIRD ….
