Mosquito dunks for fungus gnats

Good morning,

Attached is a screenshot of the ingredients in mosquito dunks. I'd like to try them this year to control fungus gnats. It's bti but it also reads and insecticidal toxins*. What are these toxins will they hurt lungs if smoked?

Not a problem, the “toxins” (produced by the bacteria) are short lived and are not incorporated into the plants tissue (systemic). They kill bugs, but are not toxic to mammals, they’ve been extensively studies and no ill effects to humans have been found.

It works. Just do it a few times about 3-4 weeks apart. I spray neem once a week and have the fly strips. It works.

I use just normal yard bug granular that is safe for food and haven't had a issue once

Arbico is having a really great sale on nematodes. I usually use good guys but the last couple months they haven't been as effective. Arbico has these nematode beads now so I'm really looking forward to seeing how they work

Fungus gnat experiment # 569

25 feet of noseeum screen with 20 x 20 mesh. A few bags of fat rubberbands. $30 for both.

After failing 568 times with poisons and potions, pots and bags, prayers and insults, I have decided to try and block their entryways. They love my 2 gallon pots with the 5 holes around the bottom that not only are open on the sides, but a bit of the bottom as well. You can always manage them on the top of the soil but they will annihilate you from the bottom and sides if they can get in.

I tried all the other stuff and gave up. Fabric pots kept them out of the bottoms but I hated using them. So now I tried this:





So far I don't think they can squeeze thru the holes. Their wings kind of block it. Been 3 days since transplant and no gnats yet. I will call this working or failure after a full flower or about 2 months of no infestation.

Good luck with the potions. If you have a small grow they do work. A larger grow with more rooms or closets and they find them. They always do.

I've been sprinkling mosquito bits on my grows every few weeks for several years. I've never had an issue with my smoke. In fact I would say the bud has been improved due to less plant stress. I grow in coco indoors most times and fugnas gnats can always be an issue unless I stay on it. I rarely have an issue anymore and the bags of mosquito bits last longer this way.
