Does ph runoff matter?

I'm just wondering if ph runoff matters and if it does how do I fix it. I've not noticed anything in the plant really expect for the tips might be turning color but I have 3 plants with all high runoff ph
First plant
Ph input water was 5.87 on 08/11 runoff was 7.18 today I watered at a ph of 6.05 and runoff was 7.24 or 7.34
Second plant
Was watered on 08/12 at a ph of 6.08 and runoff was 7.10 expected to water in the next 1-2 days don't have a runoff rn
Third plant was watered today 08/15 at a ph of 5.96 and the runoff was 7.45

I used to worry about pH adjustments more than I needed to because I didn't understand pH shock. E.g, I was worried that if the pH fell to 5.5 that by adding nutes at 6.5 it might shock the plant. It won't.

A couple things to keep in mind....no need to water soil to runoff, that's for coco. Soil will buffer ph by itself as long as your not overwatering or over fertilizing. I don't ph anything in my soil grows...tap is in the mid 7's and that's how it gets used. Nutrients are mixed with the same water and used as is without phing.
It's difficult to get an accurate reading on soil ph anyhow...are you doing a slurry test? Either way not necessary for soil.
Post a pic of plant and damage to better determine what's going on.

That doesn't make any sense to what I needed ur ph is falling mines rising almost every watering

I dont have to water till runoff? I was reading u did to about 10% or so the plants don't really look bad except one might have nitrogen toxicity and the other might start to have nutrient lock bc of the soil ph rising all 3 plants are either at a runoff ph or 7.24 or 7.34. I'm not really sure if this is normal or not I'm new and this is my first grow20240817_121123.jpg20240817_121127.jpg20240817_121132.jpg20240817_121141.jpg20240817_121144.jpg

The soil was nuetural when I started tested by slurry I have one of those 3 way meters or wtv but haven't used it I was just wondering if runoff ph matters bc there all 3 above 7

I would stop watering to runoff. Ease up on nutes for a week or so. Throw that 3 way thing in the trash. If you want to ph intake water that's fine just ph to 6.4, same with nutrient water.
Again....as long as your not overwatering or overfertilizing the soil will buffer it's ph to what it needs.
What nutrients are you using and how?

Wdym how normally how there used. But I use advanced nutes it says like 16 or sum ml/g I use 14ml/g and there loving it except for prob the nute lock out or sum else idk what tips turning color mean but they haven't progressed at all
If the how is how I water I use a rainfall watering can
I use the 3 part and use big bud, voodoo juice, bud candy, and overdrive use them whenever I need to

If these are autoflowers then only use 1/2 what they recommend....so 8ml/g.
Your leaves are very dark and on the border of being N toxic...cut nutrients for 1 week...then proceed at 8ml/g
Rain water is fine.....you may need a calmag supplement though...no phing is needed.

Hardly rains where I'm at and when it does it's usually at 2 am
My regular tap water is almost 9 so pretty sure I will have to ph
The nutes I was wondering that bc they are autos was wondering if they needed less or half idk if I will need calmag but might buy some just in case I'm not seeing anything other than purple/red stems that could be involved with calmag

Sorry I thought you said you used rainwater.....yeah 9 is high...would be best to knock it down into 7's at least. I recommended calmag thinking you were using rain water...as long as you have no deficiencies don't worry about it.

Well I was thinking ab it but its only rained 2 days in the past 3 month I think so im probably going to stick to tap but it's high at 8.85 and the calcium in it is like 21.7 and magnesium is 10
I think it's been doing relatively fine except the discoloration on the tips and the toxicity
I've been phing to 6-6.6 I thought runoff was needed but now that ik runnoff raises ph or wtv and other imma stop doing it now
