Septoria Resistant Strains

Let's make a list of Septoria resistant photoperiod cannabis strains. I'll put up an autoflower list thread too.

Septoria leaf disease is becoming a growing problem that is literally killing outdoor, organic cannabis growing.

I have seen the following septoria related strain characteristics in the northeast, usa, western maine, this summer...

Tropicanna Poison - Sweet Seeds...... literally zero septoria this year, and it's getting tough out there.... she didn't clone easily.. flowered end of July and supposedly rippens early, so she'll be in 9/20-25, before cold, dank weather pushes stuff into the flower.... nice smells already.
Pineapple Muffin - Humboldt..... Higher septoria resistance, but small amount of under larfing needed to keep her clean in bad conditions...lots of inside larfing needed with these girls, like grab the first couple/few nodes after every split or you'll get socked in, but still septoria is low even with heavy inside growth.
Made of Honor - Mendo20....... Vigorous grower so she kinda stays ahead of it, but it's there and it will depend on how wet september is as to whether septoria will creep into the flower leaves and end her days before her time.... some plants better than others, either pheno or grow spot, who knows!
Candy Store..... Ethos...... again, great growth so she keeps ahead of it, but it's there and if you don;t larf it out, septoria will win....depends on Sept.... grown this girl before, seeing the same thing, but she had a great finish on a good fall.... I won;t run her again outside, too much risk and larfing, but in drier climates, surely a great choice.
Gorilla Cookies FF....... 420 Fastbuds........ no sir, had to larf her right up to the new growth last week.... yeah, she's vigorous, and supposedly flowers quick, but she's late to turn and full of septoria.... no sir, never again
Mixed Nutz .... NASC freebie........ aaaah, ran her with hopes...she's puckered up with septoria pretty good.... once I spread her out and larfed her better, she's hanging tough....early flower turn, so she won;t have to run out much beyond sept 20..... but nah, not the septoria resistance I want.

note: just cause something says fast flowering doesn't mean it's a good choice for northeastern usa..... your better choice parameter would be, septoria and PM resistance with an oct1-10 harvest... SOmetimes fasts flowers turn late so it doesn;t matter that they're fasts as you are still in mid Oct for her to finish right........some are vulnerable to light and heat stress flipping early in veg before you want...... some are more likely to hermie...... some host septoria easily.......so it seems..... but yes, a fast flower, early finish, +20thc flower that is septoria resistance is ideal. Tropicanna Poison and Pinapple Muffin fit that bill...... let's see how they finish.

Add to the list..........

I find with some simple preventive sprays early in veg most strains are not affected with black spot or pm here in maine unless its a really wet growing season like last yr. zero black spot or pm this yr here in sw maine. An yes i have seen fully budded fast strains melt down in full aug sun with high RH.

I think we should document our septoria plants and give each other an idea of what we consider to be different levels of infection. I will post some pics with comments.

Another plant, the same cross as the above plant, pretty low level of infection.
first pic looks pretty rough.... if septoria gets that deep in early flower, that arm is a goner, and maybe the whole plant of the weather gets bad..... I keep my plants more larfed out for prevention, but makes lots of work... let's hope for a decent few weeks, then see what we get for the last few.....

what sprays do you use? Seems like natural, early and short flowering photos are more stable than fast flowering photoperiods (i.e. ff's made with ruderalis) in multiple dimensions, so to speak. ALthough, my tropicanna poison ff is the healthiest in the garden this year, so far.... then pineapple muffin.

I used copper for yrs with good results This yr Iam using sulfur an very happy but with both of these you need to spray before pm an black spot show up its a preventive not a cure. Once Iam in deep flower I use zerotol an citric acid.

ugh, that's a lot of spray management......there's got to be some competitive microbe? Or, as this thread hopes to do, list the strains that are septoria resistant, then use good plant management and growing techniques. I know this is possible without spraying, but without the right genetics, why try.

Hard to find much info on Salvisa.... indica/sativa, general harvest time outdoor, terps, flavor, effects, flower structure.... any input is helpful....looks like there are only regs, which is kinda cool leaving you some pollen....what about beshear? Seems pretty much the same as salvisa with a strain called atf mixed in. thanks
The male half of Salvisa is this strain.

I have also grown Beshear and it did almost as well against septoria. Here it is last year.

Been growing outdoor in maine 40 PLus yrs I have tried many different microbes none worked on leaf spot, pm or bud rot its impossible the get fat ripe buds outdoor with out spraying here its just to cool an damp by early oct. Shit i wash all my outdoor bud in zerotol to remove bugs, dust an tree pollen. You can spend your whole life looking for a strain that does great outdoor in maine an never find it I perfer to do some IPM sprays an grow what i like an not worry about fungal spores. something else to remember mandocat is way south of maine strains that work there most likely wont work here.

Just like vegetable and fruit growing, people in Maine can grow things that won't thrive here in Oklahoma! I feel very fortunate to have found a couple of plants with resistance to septoria. And it could be the individual plants. Cannabis is nowhere nearly as consistent in strain expression as Roma tomatoes or bell peppers. If you find a plant that does well, try to preserve the genetics and don't assume every thing with the same strain name will behave like the plant you prefer.

Do you tank mix with citric? Don't see why that wouldn't work
Partial list of compatible tank mixes for ZeroTol, some of the things suprised me.

Azadirachtin( AzaGuard, Azatin O, Azatin XL) Yes
Neem Oil Yes
