Advice on 4x4 set up please

I have a ac infinity 4x4 with 2 oscillating fans and a 6 inch ac infinity inline fan. Im currently growing 4 in 5 gallon fabric pots. I'm in my 2nd week of flower.

I have a hlg 750 diablo that's turned up half way. I'm about 24 inches from the canopy.

I have my temp/ humidity probe pretty close to the canopy and in the center.

I'm having a difficult time getting the humidity down passed 60%.

From what I've read I would want to be closer to 40% humidity during flower and I could use some advice on how to get there.

I have one cool air intake hole opened up on the bottom too.

Lung room is about 68 degrees

When I raise the temp the humidity goes up as well.

I'm trying to get something over 1.2 in vpd. Only because that's what I read I'm supposed to be during flower and I think it's the low end of being in a good zone.



What could I do differently that might help?

Sounds and looks all spot on to me dude, I wouldn't worry about that humidity, you've got good airflow and for that stage I would says it's fine.

Will it be OK to try and keep it where I'm at for the rest of my grow? With humidity around 60%?

You should be okay. But you can get a small dehumidifier that fits your tent for like $40 or so. Might be worth investing in if you want to make everything perfect.

Your running a 4x4 inflower with only 375w , you'd be better off banging it up to minimum 450w , ideally 600w.

That should bring your humidity down slightly, but I wouldn't be worried about it.

I would be worried that you aren't lighting the space adequately to achieve the best buds

I just stopped using fox farm bottle nutes the last week of veg and switched to gai green dry amendments. 1st time ever using them. 3 of my plants are a mixture of ocean forest and happy frog and in just happy frog. I used 2 tbsp of all purpose and 5 tbsp of the bloom. Im not sure what to expect since the switch. I read it can take a few weeks to notice anything. I made the swith because it just seems so much easier.

I was wondering if there's anything else I should add when I top dress during flower? Would I want to use worm castings maybe or would I be ok just using what I am currently using "just gai green" the rest of the grow?

And are you raising temp by fan setting?
Because less extraction will up your rh.

Where as actually increasing the heat via increased wattage on the light will raise it and not your rh as much

Yes, raising it by fan setting. I was worried that I would burn the leaves having it any higher this early in flowering. I was also curious about the distance I have my light at. Its about 24 inch from canopy and if that would make a difference.

Also, my temp/humidity probe moves around a little bit because of my fan on the top of the canopy. Would there be a better location for my probe? My numbers do bounce around a little and I was thinking it was because of the fan moving it around

Turn your light up, you’re flowering, maybe put a dehumidifier in the lung room. I find keeping the external environment where my dehumidifier is 10% lower than I want the tent things work out.

Put the probe in the canopy just near a leave. But out of the direct light.

Watts are what a light draws from the wall but doesn't tell you how much light your plant is getting. With that particular light, it's important to understand how much light different parts of your grow is getting because many HLG lights have a hot spot in the middle.

Rather than a watt meter, get a Uni-T lux meter ($32) and you can use the document I've written to convert lux to PPFD.

Per this page, your light will draw 715 watts so your input wattage is in the ballpark for recommended values.

Apologies, I could advise you in coco but there's more folk with far more knowledge than me on soil. What I will say to you though, is don't over think things, sometimes you can live them a little too much. Humidity, last weeks is when I would want it low.

If I read correctly the fan isnt on max? Id turn it on max. It wont burn the leaves but a mini fan blowing around too close can.

I dont have any fans on the plant just a couple pointed at the lights far above and I dont really need to do that.

Im not buying anymore mini fans Im ready to get rid of them. Got like 10 of them lol.

How big is the lung room? Id get a 230w dehuey if youre planning on pushing it. I have mine set to 24/7.

I get good humidity control. 45rh I have a crowded 10’x10’ lung room.

A pedestal fan helps keep temp/rh the same all through out where as I could get high temp/humidity pockets in the lung room without it.

Once I have more plant matter will that make a difference in humidity?

I'm having a hard time seeing your probe in the picture. Would I be better off having it off to the side along the wall ?

No, it's not on max. Are you referring to the exhaust fan? That hasn't gone above 4 and I have the other 2 oscillating fans on 7
