Looks and smells just like how I grow it from seed. Been through 2 packs of soulmate so far and have loved every harvest, but I’m still looking for a keeper pheno
I notice your state; just like mine has high THCA flower; low THC flower......question; does it get you high??

I find that the dispensary weed in my state doesn't get me high; but it tastes good and looks pretty lol

And in general I have found high thca flower to do absolutely nothing to me.....but I feel like the only one because everyone else swears by the dispensary lol

I have the same in my state, its actually one of the things I hate about the commercial cannabis scene they put out high thc flower with very low terpene %. Id rather have a flower that's 17% thc with 3%terps than 31% thc with 1% terps and that hollow buzz it gives. I ran out of flower a few weeks before my last harvest and grabbed two strains at the local dispensary that were both 30% thc but when you actually look at the numbers its more like 30% thca and total cannabinoids and 25% thc. the stuff I just harvested beat the crap out of both the 30% stuff from the dispo. A friend has a theory that they do something to the buds before they pack them that degrades the trichomes I have no idea if he's correct but the dispo weed is definitely either bullshit numbers or there is something going on with the buds before they hit market, like some kind of method to kill any bacteria or mold spores just my two cents lol

You are not the only one. Thc % means diddly. Dispo is nice to look at, but not much for a conversation. I dated women like that. I married one that checked ALL the boxes

Yes but specifically THCA may be 30% but THC (d9) is like 1%

I've seen other states that have both numbers in the 30% range but never tried the flower so don't know if it's better.

My theory is THCA is grown in a different environment than normal thc and therefore it changes the chemical makeup and removes the psychoactive elements.

I believe this is done to combat 1st time users going to the dispensary and buying the strongest shit on the menu.

Basically it's to keep the population under control because nobody is really getting high.

$65/8th for that HEMP flower.

There's a reason Online Wholesale THCA distributors literally label it as THCA HEMP FLOWER.

The word cannibus is only thrown alongside thca at actual dispensaries.

It's a scheme that every dispensary in every state seems to be using and I think customers and ppl in general need to stand against it.

If I can buy an oz of thca online for 90 bucks than why is the same thca flower at the dispensary for 230+ an oz??

And it is THE same flower because they are shipping this THCA bullshit across the country over state lines doing shared inventory amongst states and dispensary to dispensary sales over state borders too.

They're trying to eliminate black market - not with better product - but with mass amounts of cheap product... and it's working sadly.

Nobody is trying to eliminate the black market. The only way to do that is legalization.

Dispo weed is grown en masse and harvested based on a schedule, not ripeness. Some farms are better than others, but it's genuinely a pump and dump scheme, so nobody is investing for the long haul, especially after the fallout from Colorado and Oklahoma.

Dispensaries got a good name from Cali after prop 215 I believe? Whatever it was, it allowed people to sell their bud too or through dispensaries to patients. This legend carries dispensaries in bumfuck Missouri to this day. The people who have the ability to get good weed will, the people who bought k at 65 an eighth in college get "bomb ass weed" for "cheap"

As for why dispensaries charge more... taxes mostly. If you're buying it online it's black market pretending to be legit.

Actually if you lookup how to grow thca dominant flower; it's grown in a completely different temperature range; hence forcing thca to become dominant....if it was grown the same; most bud wouldn't be thca because naturally it's not thca.

THca will be the dominant cannabinoid in any flower. When heated it turns to delta 9. If you see someone say they have 30% Thca and 30% delta 9, then they have a plant that is 60% thca. Which is absolute nonsense. Thca is the cannabinoid you see in either thca hemp flower, legally grown weed, or anything you grow at home. It all turns to delta 9 when heated. I am guessing they grow it in a cooler environment so the delta 9 doesn't go above. 3%. Regular flower rarely goes above 1% unless it is grown in a very hot environment. So much confusion about this. Oof.

Then why wasn't everything thca dominant a few years ago?

Why have I not found ONE THCA flower that can get me high? Regardless of what the quality appears.

Yet my regular thc weed that I've been smoking my whole life never fails to get me high even when it looks worse than the thca flower it's compared to?

Everything I see about thca and everything I've experienced screams NOT normal thc.....the definition of thca even says it's a different; weaker high than normal thc.. ...well how do you know if you never actually inhale or injest thca? According to everyone it's normal thc when consumed.... but also fails to do what normal thc does for some reason that none of yall have explained to me - it flat out does not get me high - normal flower does - and I know my normal street flower isn't thca flower

Look up the numbers for any of your faves. The thc % that you see refers to thca. That has always been true. And if you get a lab report it will state it. Thca flower is always what we smoked. Thca hemp flower is just a way for people not in legal markets to enjoy. Merely a loop hole. The delta 9 cannot be above .3% in thca HEMP flower. But it really shouldn't ever be much more than 1% or so. Until you light it, and it converts(mostly) to delta 9. I will say however, that I have had a bunch of thca hemp flower that wasn't good. I would imagine an influx of shoddy growers is to blame for so much bad flower. That and like was said above, they are just rushing to produce harvest and repeat. Not letting the flower ripen fully. But i hear regular dispos have the same problem. So much substandard flower on the market in general. I have a shop that sells hemp flower. I have had a couple of strains at the store that rival what I grow. I hope to have brought some clarity, but also am high af right now, so.. :)

The reason I don't believe it is because I've bought MULTIPLE 8ths from VARIOUS distributors of THCA flower.....

Not ONE gram got me high.....the flowers all looked different than normal street flower....they all smelt great....taste was great on all of them......but NO effects whatsoever

Now I've had bad weed that tasted good before but it still did SOMETHING to me....these thca flowers did NOTHING AT ALL.

Like I said various distributors various strains - even highly well reviewed places and absolutely none of it did anything to me.

I bought an oz; smoked about half and the other half I threw in the garbage because I didn't even feel right to GIVE it away. That's how little the effects were.

Flower can't be THAT bad - not in 2024 - fucking brick weed in 2000 was stronger than any thca flower I've had - let that sink in.

There's no way it tastes as good as it does and has 0 effect and is real weed - it just isn't possible imo.

Usually weed with 0 effects looks like trash - smells like trash and tastes that way too

I think you should look into the chemistry of cannabis and then stop buying weed from places selling bunk weed.
I have looked into things....and about 4-5 years ago I found Super Lemon Haze to be one of the naturally thca dominant strains.....however the research I viewed then also said MOST strains are NOT thca DOMINANT- but all strains do contain thca.

Suddenly since this farm bill; thca has been the new craze....Suddenly all dispensary flower is labeled thca; when not all of it was before......and now I'm Suddenly being told every single strain ever has been thca?

Maybe; just maybe; these dispensaries are JUST like big pharma/tobacco/alcohol where they pay for researchers and scientists to say things that aren't true??

Because I've tried like I said MULTIPLE sources that came highly recommended and literally every dispensary within a 2 hr range of my house and not a single THCA flower has got me high since that Super Lemon Haze about 4-5 years ago lol.

I'm pretty certain I will take what I've experienced over some guy paid to say some shit to push their products.

Google thca and it says it's a DIFFERENT MORE MELLOW HIGH than normal thc....how can it be different if it's the same damn thing?

Well, for one, its criminally under researched due to its scheduling. This led to the text of the farm bill leaving a massive loophole for cannibanoids besides THC.

Two, as stated earlier, most dispensaries are not selling high quality weed. Its not particularly complicated.

also, middinthe90sstrains is correct
Uh, sir this is a Wendy’s, I mean Bodhi thread.

Thca is the thc present in cannabis before it is decaboxylated. That just means you applied heat to it, either by burning or baking. The tcha then is converted into thc and can be absorbed into the blood stream.

The reason flower from dispensaries won't get you high, is because it's harvested early, dried too fast, and slammed into a bag until it's sold. Also most of the recent crosses have been crossed over and back so many times chasing yeild, fruity terps, bag appeal.. potency took not only a back seat, but it has to walk while the bus dissapears over the cookie crusted horizon.

Luckily, there are many growers doubling back in a cab to pick up the potency. We have all been chasing it. Anyone who thinks they found it...

1. They haven't proven it to me
2. They think dispo garbage gets them high as much as a placebo pill cures cancer.
3. They have never had it before. Ie, young kid raised on gelato cookie pie slushy terp bomb candy clouds.

A friend of mine seems to have found it in the form of CripXmas.

Tampa crippy x Xmas bud 79 x pine Tar kush x nl#2

Here's one next to the cat

Here's a link to the grow. The effects are well documented by reputable growers

You must be looking at the wrong sites. Everywhere I look seems to be on the same side. Thca is what is in the plants we love. It converts to delta 9 thc after it is lit, or heated in the oven. Even Web MD has the skinny.
And as this is a bodhi thread, I got 9 females of bbhp from 13 seeds. Running four of those again to see the winner or winners. All had good structure and were relatively easy to grow. 1.5 to 2 times stretch in flower. Good smoke for sure. More on the heady side. One put my brain in a fog. Alas, there were no heavy smelling blueberry phenos. Just light blueberry smells mixed with the 88g13hp. Stoked regardless.

I am sorry for steering the thread off course; however I understand what THEY say thca is.

My problem is I think it's all lies.

Because I've tried thca from enough sources without getting high.

I never had this issue with street weed not getting me high.

Weed is overall better today; so I don't think that it's just shitty grown.....shitty grown can still give me a buzz.

I've grown today's strains and yesteryears strains without ever having this issue - they've all gotten me high.....same with strains from every era of street weed.

Dispensary bud got me high about 4yrs ago and it wasn't thca at that time.

Now that it's all thca it doesn't do anything to me.

It may be picked early and just bagged like said above; but then shouldn't it taste like shit?

All thca I've had has tasted at least good if not excellent it just has no effect.

So until someone gets me high from thca flower - I feel thca flower isn't Marijuana- but hemp instead.
