Monstercropping? Waste of time? Or Worth the wait?

Im making my first attempt at monster cropping a handful of plants. It sounds interesting, but it also reads like a 'how to' manual on how to make a hermie. Any veteran monstercroppers out there?
Accidentally monster cropped my flower table before last (screwed up the timer on my UVA bar). It turned out great and doubled my weight but I'd rather have not done that LOL

That’s what I just did, it makes bud sites everywhere and turns it into a monster! However, all those bud sites need to stretch out or it gets too dense. My growing style makes small short plants, and they were too bushy. So make sure you
Make them stretch so they don’t get too crammed
Awesome! Good to know because the mother plants are bushy af as it is. 3 plants have taken every inch of my 4x8 tent.
I also prefer short plants. I love the space queen/ special queen strain cuz they grow about 3 feet tall with a bunch of Louisville sluggers about the size of my wrist. Very efficient plants. I also have MotorBreath, which is the complete opposite. They grow 7-8 feet but a lot of open airy space that just does not seem efficient but i do love the smell and taste of them, but would prefer them 'tightened up' a bit.

Nah bud they take in their stride, I've grown literally 100s without ever seeing nanners, don't worry about it.
Thats what i like to hear! I cut 18 to start with, 2 have rooted excellent so far and 5 more look like they'll make it. I can accept 7 out of 18. Everything i read says you get about a 50% success rate, would you agree?

Hey bud 90%+ success is closer ime, it's much the same as regular cloning maybe a little bit longer to root depending on how late you take them.

I use flowering clones under a screen. If clones are taken at 21 days flower they root and regenerate fast. Late ones take a while though. I have some I took in late flower. Been a few months but they are finally showing growth.

Excellent! What are using to root them? Ive been using root riot cubes for my regular cloning with about a 90% success rate, but maybe they arent the best choice for this method...
Hey bud, a pot or pouch of coco is my favourite for clones but it's not always the most convenient so I keep root riot plugs handy for the odd occasion.

Hey bud, yes they can be slow to re veg, I've harvested, dried and I'm now smoking the crop this monster came from.

It's very tasty weed so I'm on edge about not getting growth from it, I repotted it from a 2" to a 5" to give it more room for root formation hoping to kick start vegging growth.

I've only had one monster fail on me after rooting so I'm praying if there's a 2nd one that one is not it.

For reference this kush was taken around the same time ±

I see some white root so they're keeping me positive

Omg its damn good, it would be a cruel twist of fate to loose that after 100s possibly 1000+ of successful mstr clones.

I know who you are..lol. I have spoken to you in other forums and love your threads. That save ya did after loosing the tail off a seed was cool as hell. Your seedling to 12/12 is a great method too and you rock it.

I've got things set up now so I can take flowering clones of every photo I'm impressed with and do another run of that plant. I'll be snagging some cjc91 and Strawberry Banana clones when they are 21 days in flower. The best two will go under the screen in late Sept. The branching they produce makes them great for scrogs. Or 100 clones...lol.

My clones taken at 8+ weeks are finally doing the flip to veg.

What is weird to me is when ya take them at 21 days they reveg with single leaf shoots which develop into the serrated ones were familiar with. These taken in late flower threw out growth like a normal mature plant three leaf serrated.

Ah nice one @Fatjoe you're digging the monster cloning aswell that's ideal bud.

I know what you're talking about with re vegging with spindly single leafs, weird growth and whatnot versus a nice growing shoot emerging, I wonder why it is that happens over re vegging growth, that's strange?

I appreciate you commenting about my posts and stuff, thank you very much.

Ya know I been thinking about that. My guess would be the maturity of the plant. This girls been alive since January. The clones I take from plants in flower are usually from a reg or fem seed that's near 8-9 weeks old. Those show the single leaf every time.

I'm curious if I take a day21 clone from a flowering clone in full flower. Would it spit out the three leaf sets like my clones taken late in flower? Always something to think about with these plants..lol
