Hard water vs. Salt softened water?

I have 2 choices for water. 1 is hard at 25 grains heavy calcium. The other is soft containing 750mg/gal of sodium and run threw a dechlorinator. Can I get away wait watering with the soft water then dunk flush every 2 weeks with the hard water? I'm looking for a cheap solution. I have been able to finish plants with both waters.

The sodium would be pretty high, you might be able to run it through a filter like a Brita, to bring the Na down. What is “heavy calcium”? What are the ppm’s or mg/gallon of Ca? I have well water that is extremely hard 400-1400 ppm’ with most being Ca, Mg, and Mn, with some sulphur, Fe , and Bo. I don’t treat it at all.

I’d be inclined to see how they go on the hard water from the get go.. cannabis can take quite a lot of calcium with little adverse affect. (Feel free to correct me anyone)

Curious as to what "heavy calcium" is in ppm.......but if it were me I'd go with the hard water vs trying to deal with all the extra sodium.
The city says they remove iron and another element but all the residue is a white powder. I'm gonna try the hard water.
