Ok. Sorry, I'm not on here with much consistency anymore so I tend to miss things that aren't tagged to me. Hope all is well and the new year is being kind. Its water under the bridge mate.
Holy shazaaaaaam! Beautiful.I just bite off the branches to take my clones. 200% success ratio and I’ve successfully met the scientific process. I’m a scientist and my method is what we call predictable and repeatable. I can chew off branches all day.
This picture was from only 3 hours after taking the clone.

Proof biting off branches is better than the antiquated 45 degree cut and the dog nail clipper cut. Get with the times.
I missed this one. I know you think you're being super creative, but you'rereally just felching the same stale nut your brethren have been gurgling on from the start.I just bite off the branches to take my clones. 200% success ratio and I’ve successfully met the scientific process. Old post, but to be fair, many people think cloning is easy because they have the right environment naturally that helps the process along. My first time cloning worked 100% and I believe its because I lived near the coast and the humidity and temps were just right. Since I moved to a hotter, more arid climate, cloning is significantly more difficult. I also have older clones now and pulling from older mothers, which adds to the difficulty. I'm glad the process always works for you, but it might not be as "simple" as you think if you have haven't cloned in many different climates from plants of variable health.I just take a pair of scissors and cut clones. I stick them in a cup of water while taking them. Small container of moist coco. Sometimes rooting powder sometimes not. I always have roots in 7-10 days. For rooting powder just the cheap Miracle-Gro Fastroot powder. They're all just IBA anyway so brand doesn't matter. I've used honey as well. Always roots.
Taking clones and getting them to root successfully is an extremely simple process. It's not complicated at all. As with everything related to growing cannabis there are always going to be those that fail at such a basic task regardless of how simple or complicated they make the process.
I thought I was just broken. In my dry climate, I was getting maybe 30% success, with rooting powder/gel, changing the water every two days, losing leaves like crazy. It took a month or more, and the clones took forever to get going in soil.Old post, but to be fair, many people think cloning is easy because they have the right environment naturally that helps the process along. Nicely done. Clones don't have to go through a near death experience to make roots as you've shown. Look at that nice callous and multiple mains, bet they jump right off when they get in media.I thought I was just broken. I bought a bucket aerocloner. Now I just put cold tap water and set the damn thing in a corner for three weeks (no rooting powder/gel), opening it to 12" roots and 100% success. No leaves lost at all.

Why dont you just put a wet glass bell over the plant that would keep your humidity high.Old post, but to be fair, many people think cloning is easy because they have the right environment naturally that helps the process along. Of course, that helps. It was still easier near the coast though, because I could easily transition from the dome and I think keeping in the dome leads to fungal disease easier. Here in a dry climate, they are more finicky to transition out of the dome because the ambient humidity is <30%. Also, I've got some old tired girls and probably HLV - need to TC them soon, which makes them even more difficult. My point was just that it can be easy in some environments and more challenging in others, and I think people who are struggling should know that. Peace. Why dont you just put a wet glass bell over the plant that would keep your humidity high.
They look great! For sure from healthy moms. Are the cuttings in contact with the water/hormone before rooting? I like riot plugs, but did a big experiment between those and rockwool and found no difference in rooting efficiency with several different cuts. Sometimes they have a weird mold on them, which kind of put me off. Have you messed around with PCal/CalPhos callustech a la Slownickel? Two batches 100% success on my 3rd run 5 times total with this method 3 of those times up til now were much better using heat mat and dome.
Beards.
A specific dome like say ac infinity helps with suspending cuttings in a tray that can be filled with water/hormone. Itll stay optimal moisture level always and the dome prevents drying out overnight.
Top holes open though. This method really works for me. I used to struggle with clones until I used riot plugs and adding the heat and dome just makes greatness. Simple right?
2 weeks all ready to plant or for sure end of 3 if some just want to drag their feet. I just take an extra cutting.
Thanks they actually just come from veg plants perpetual. Have bonsai mother that provides some for smaller tents shorter veg time. They look great! For sure from healthy moms.
