Hello everybody! This is my first time trying LST. Tyson 2.0 diesel. How is it looking so far ?

You are doing almost exactly the way I do it. You should come out with a nice bunce of tops. What I think you are going to end up with is a plant that's going to look supper croped.
I do have one sugesstion, but it's not that necessary. You can bend a piece of wire to make a "bridge for support" to for the first bend. It will maybe keep things a little lower without taking a chance of breaking the main.

Awesome. When you say the first bend do you mean the vertices by the root or the first horizontal by the edge of the pot ?

Just above the thred node to start the horizontal bend. From that point I try to wrap the main around the pot as far as it feels safe. Doing it that way naturaly points the branches from nodes 2 and 3 opposit direction and cause the others to fan out into a funnel shape. The light shines into the plant and lost light has to pass thru.

That's just how I do it. I'm not one of the expert growers, but it works for me.
I got more than a half pound from a Hulkbery Auto doing it this way. I messed up up on my current auto and let it strech. I'm too old (84 and almost 85) to fight it so it's going outside today and I'll drop another seed. What I grow in my room is only a house plant for me to watch grow and enjoy.
Keep posting photos if you can. It would be nice to watch this one grow.

I will and thank you for the reply. I'll wait till it gets some more growth and update. I'm going to keep this one outside the rest of the way. I have a few inside about 4 weeks from harvest so I was hoping to let nature work this one out.

Nodes are coming in pretty well. Should I cut the fan leaves so they don't keep blocking the sun? I moved them out of the way this morning but they were all blocking the new leaves. Also why is the stem so thin by the soil?

I think growing outside you don't have to defoliate. The sun can cook down through the foliage. Those big leafs are the solar panels for the plant.

Those secondary branches will produce some nice bud down the road.
Pic on the right above...I'd move that tie down hook back just a little. You see it's hanging right over the top. If ya move that back a little it will give that top a little more space to grow upwards. As is she has to work a little harder. Maybe something to watch for in future tie downs.
I hope you continue this. It will pay off big. Most of my plants are rarely 8" high by 30 days in veg but they are wide and full of growth heading into flower.

Here is the newest update. Moved it to 18 gallon this last weekend. Seeing pre flower and being the end of July, I guess she is right on schedule. She's beautiful! Thank you all for the help. Any new suggestions I'll take them.
