From Myco to MJ. Some questions regarding EC and nutrients.

I'm new to the MJ cult scene. More of a hobbyist infatuation, not much of a consumer. I was in the Myco cult scene for a while and was pretty successful in it. Decided that the MJ plant was one of the most beautiful I've seen and worthy of some cultivation attention, merely from an enjoyment in cultivation aspect.

With that first post introduction out of the way, I've begun collecting information and soaking up information to prepare for the journey. With a lot of experience in Coir with Myco, thats gonna be the media choice.

I've been putting most of my effort right now into nutrient efficiency, appropriate EC levels, nutrient needs, etc. Leaving the strain, equipment issues as non prioritizing right now and focusing on plant health efficiency.

Now to it. I have been checking out Cocoforcannabis. Very good stuff on coco growing. I've been seeing that most of his EC levels are dedicated to a GH based Micro scedule. I wasn't interested in a multi-piece nute package right away, but more wanted to know if general EC levels can ben applied to other manufacturers as well?

This is the chart listed on the website for various stages based on GH Trio line. The nute line also uses 6-7 different nutes and additives into the schedule, but I'm more leaning towards something a little easier. Is it possible to just maybe reduce down to the trio and CalMag only, and still follow the same EC targets? And how exactly do you deal with EC targets when switching to other nute lines? Just one of many other questions I have, but more trying to dive into PH, EC, and appropriate levels through growth stages. The rest should fall in quiet easily. Thanks in Advance.

I started out following that site, doesnt hurt to read the whole site. I did flora trio only but found that expensive and tedious, switched to maxibloom powder fertilizer.

There are brands like Athena I think that has you feed at like above 3.0 ec which is crazy. Thats just mj coco’s schedule and ppm targets.

General hydro has their own charts to follow using just thier main products. I quickly found I couldnt really copy mj coco in terms of ppm due to water source.

Few other things I disregard from that site but I dont follow a schedule. I just figure out what ec they need by checking runoff ec and visual leaf signs.

They dont change much in demand to have a schedule thats by the week. More like early flower and late flower perhaps asking for more or less ec.

Heres couple plants almost done and mostly green. Clones. Takes a few runs to get things perfect. Some examples of maxibloom feed schedule/ec tagrets. I use tap water with .5ec. 1.5ec total right now.

I really dig the 1-part per growth stage system with the maxi system. Are you getting pretty good results? The simpler the better when starting out feels better. I think many people run into problems not focusing on appropriate PPM/EC levels and monitoring through their grows.

Do you run your EC levels according to the manufacturer, or do you just adjust accordingly?

I actually like everything else, learned here that you can use maxibloom for veg plants too no ill effects. The maxi gro will give robust results say some while others didnt notice difference.

Makes my setup easier to feed all maxibloom 1.5ec total from planting my clones to harvest.

A plant wont always follow a chart so I just get to know the strain and continue as clone, is it pale and has a fish bone pattern? Is the runoff the same or less than the ec coming in?

It can show signs of overfed like tip burn and just all kinds of leaf spots so they say starting lower and going up is easier to fix issues than other way around.

Runoff ec will be real high if its overfed. In my own words I think they just want water at that point and less nutes.

It takes a few runs to get to know a strain and by then Id have my own schedule to follow which so far didnt really need to change much.

It would look like the maxibloom feed schedule but my own ec values. So the plant runs the show, its not like youd keep following it if your plants want a change.

Im a newer grower about 10 strains in and launched a perpetual clone grow almost at my second round of it. Just my two cents. I am just now doing better but id say pretty good results.

Seasoned growers here get even better results Im still dialing things in. Like now I have some spots on few leaves idk why but Im almost done anyway but I bet the solution is within the basics, a tweak or two.

If you can finish with mostly green growth its a win to me.

Honestly, any cannabis base nutrient is much the same as another and there's plenty of other things that work as good, like tomatoe feed.
EC should be roughly the same and you can usually feed far less than recommended EC.

If you grow in coco with multiple fertigstions a day you can feed a lot less.

One thing, if your in the hotter end of the climate, feed weaker , colder feed stronger.
That makes up for the increase or decrease in transpiration and water uptake
