Could be genetic. I have a Grimm Glue that does all sorts of shit like that. Especially in veg. You have to grow that plant like a grape vine though so not sure if its the same issue.
I'm sure it will still root fine, and the stem being bent isn't going to cause the plant to not grow. Fortunate for you the system you use sprays the bottoms, this beats systems where your required to submerge stems into the water.
I am getting an EZ Cloner soon but still just end up paying $20 for 100 root riots because I'm not wanting to pull the trigger. I am a strong advocate of if it ain't broke don't fix it but at the same time I'm always excited to try new shit.
I'm to the point I pack my nursery tray with little pots of saturated coco, roll cuttings in ~0.1% IBA root powder and stab into the pots, cover with dome and avoid plugs/cloners altogether..
If I went DWC I would buy an EZ cloner and be having as much fun as you guys.
#1 mistake noobs make is way too much PPFD for clones/cuttings. (been there)
