Be super cool to have your own "Hawaiian adapted" phenos of what ever you want after growing and selecting for 10 years or however long it takes! I have a home soil test kit for stuff like this. Comes in real handy, without measuring everything is just a wild guess at best.Fermentation and Tea is happening naturally without humans!
Wise to keep it local and 0 waste.
Bonus is over generations it will start to make a Hawaiian Strain!

For sure a good breeder will help you have a good start at looking for good phenos that do well in your environment, but after that it's up to your talent/luck as a grower/selector.Wanted to mention that I digress with the discredited comment.
Looking at Exotic Genetix that breeder is proof it has allot to do with you as a breeder!!!
Are there any small guano islands you could like kayak out to and grab some free nitrogen rich sea bird guano?Definitely .
I’m trying to convert Cali A grade to that (pinner/ 37% THC, Sativa, Dense) shit that Hawaiians have made.
I’m 99% certain it’s simply the environment that does it over generations.
I guess the first guys got credit, but not too convincing that it was they themselves .
Because now I’m realizing even if it (was) a high-yielding A grade Cali strain.
The next thing that will happen is it’ll start to conform with the Hawaiian environment.
Then it will have Hawaiian characteristics eventually that (small yielding 37% THC outdoor strain).
* Hypothesis.
So I’m using all Hawaiian ingredients because it’s worth the cost of everything it takes to make a Hawaiian strain. Vs doing it for shallow reasons!

At least while you're doing all this long game work with photos you can grow practically any auto you want and at least have weed to smoke/kind of try out different strains with while you're growing weed anyway.
Allegedly there is something to growing in the mountains as allegedly the altitude and less atmosphere are way less prone to fungus and also promote more trichomes, allegedly this is one of the secrets to northern Cali weed. Now theres no need to really grow in the mountains.
Because you can simply buy local Organic Nui soil and other cheap local Hawaii products that have forest compost from trimmings.
But ultimately you have to learn the organic techniques from that environment because it is a brute force hack of everything in organic nutes.
Fermentation. NPK.
Tea. Microbes.
Compost. Food for microbes.
Somehow it’s all happening at once in nature.
Need to replicate that in the medical/ recreational world.
You can tell my weed is allegedly pretty good from my over use of the word allegedly. Shit. You should be growing real pakalolo. Not mainland genetics. My dad and his buddies still have pre green harvest strains they keep going. True poi dog genetics, stabilized. Its far stronger, longer lasting high, unbelievable terps and can grow it all 3 seasons, and if really motivated also the mini season. You can even regrow the buggers a second time.Definitely .
