Seedling thinning in middle.

Hi Guys.

This is my first ever grow. Seedling looked fine for the first couple of days then this morning I noticed a thinning part of stem and weakness. Using Coco Petlite mix. Pre buffered. 70/30. Led Lighting 24 inches from plant. Fan for air circulation. 40ml watering twice daily. PH 6. Temps 24c. Before and present pics of stem/area. Would you say this is dampening or over watering or something else. I have since added some 3% hydrogen peroxide drops around the soil of seedling and damaged area and created a mound to support. Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated at this time.

Many thanks.

Looks like damping off.
Next time consider starting in a solo cup.
Thanks Mick. It's an Autoflower so I assumed it was better to not have a transplant phase from reading. Would you still recommend using the Coco Mix in a cup and restarting? When would you transplant to the 3 Gallon? Any watering recommendations for that would be appreciated. I was doing 40ml RO water twice daily in the 3 Gallon. Because of the heat from Led and the medium being coco/perlite I assumed it would have needed it. I think that might have been a mistake now.

What a way to go for my first. Maybe I shouldn't have named her HOPE so soon lol

I’d add more soil to hold it up, but only water on the border of the pot. No water near the stem.
Thanks Hydro. I have done the mound support after using the peroxide solution. Will give 24hrs and see how it goes or Rince Repeat using the suggestions here.

You mention watering around the edge of the 3 Gallon pot during seedling, how much would that be roughly? I had been only using 40 ml twice daily closer to the seedling but think that may have been too much now.

Many Thanks

Most auto growers transplant........even Mephisto, who only sells autos, recommends starting in solo cups and transplanting.
I start my seeds in a solo cup in a 50/50 coco/Perlite mix and transplant after 2 weeks from sprout.
When they look like this.
2 weeks - 2023.jpg
I start feeding to run off around 3-4 days from sprout.......always feed to substantial run off in coco.
Never give plain water and never let your coco dry out.
Good luck.

That is damping off. Rule of thumb with baby's in big pots. Dribble a visable ring around the outside of the canopy of a plant . You want the roots to find the water so they co ti uesly bunch out. Moisture on the stem makes em lazy and does exactly this
