Figured I'd post an update on my elderly neighbor who lost her best friend a few weeks ago . She's doing okay , and everything has a silver lining .
There's a pretty tight group at the dog park she's gone to every day since it opened over 15 years ago . She is the Grande Dame there and Romeo was King . Her park friends and her neighbors showered her with flowers and cards the first week .
Two days before he passed he found a dirty old ball at the park and she took a pic of him just on a whim . She sent it to one of the group after he passed and didn't think much of it . She still goes twice a day to visit and one day someone showed up with a beautifully framed wall sized enlargement .
Romeo in all his glory...
Not the best pic because it was covered with plastic when I took it .
Then the other day 25 people showed up to see her there . They had gotten a beautiful park bench and a plaque dedicated to Romeo to place at the park . I'll get a pic after they pour a slab and install it .

My sister's Daisy had surgery for a torn meniscus and cruciate recently. She was spoiled large during recovery - whining till she got covered by a blanket, etc. Four weeks later she jumped onto the bed, which normally doesn't happen, and gave this look - yeah I'm on your bed, so!
