Bought 12 pack of Malawi gold from Real seed company. It's supposed to be Afropips preservation. I've read from several sources it's legit so here we go. I will be making seeds. The pack came with 19 seeds I planted 15 and 14 germinated. They are ready to be put in pots. I will also be growing Malawi from Ace, and from TLT.

I just finished a small plant either way it was over double size of all my others. Very interesting plant when in flower. Smell is sorta indescribable as of yet. In dry/cure right now, keep posting yer pics

These things starting to take off, the second pic is 2 Ace Malawi with a rsc Malawi gold in between. Wonder which one will be better

14/15 germination rate. That is very impressive. How do you germinate your seeds? I'm having a very hard time getting mine to pop. Have used seed in water cup for 24 hours, paper towels, rapid rooter, heat mat, everything.

I actually did these different than normal, soaked em 6 hrs then I put all 15 in a single cup of 50\50 coco soil mix and sprayed water on it few times a day for 4 days, dumped the cup out on a tray had sprouts all over. I picked em out and planted them. Some didn't germ yet so I put the soil back in the cup and repeat the 4 day spray cycle got the rest. The only reason I tried this was because I have roasted seeds on the heat mat before and I felt this was safer, and It worked. I too have had problems in the past. Drowning or suffocating the seeds in a plastic bag are common problems, that's why I started soaking no more than 8 hours also.

Can you explain further what you mean by put all 15 in a single of 50/50 coco soil mix? How much soil are we talking about? When you dump them and repeat the process are you saying you just put a little bit of soil/coco mix so that you can see the seeds mixed with the dirt? I think you may be right about the heat mat. They say that the mat goes to 85 degrees but it seems a lot warmer than that.

All 15 seeds in single cup of coco/dirt, just till they sprout. Probably would work fine straight coco but I mix half and half coco and fox farm ocean forest.

When I say I repeat the process I can't find the remaining seeds that didn't germ, so I know they are in the leftover soil, I don't add anything just put the remaining soil back in the cup and wait/spray another 4 days. They're easy to find after germinated because the tap root is so white.

I think my heat mat gets hotter than that as well, try putting something on top of the mat to bring the heat down

Yeah I think you are right. I am going to try a book over the mat to put under the germination kit. Going to try the paper towel thing over my wireless router instead of the mat. I think that mat is definitely over 100 degrees and I am roasting the seeds.

Looking like 3 males at least 7 females 1 showing both and still can't tell for sure on a couple but anyways topped em all that are showing and pulled the confirmed males to the other room. Last 2 pics show an ace Malawi on the right next to RSC Malawi gold for comparison. The second to last pic shows the one RSC Malawi pheno that is almost similar to the ace plant, some of them have similar aroma as well

I have all 10 or 11 RSC Malawi gold females fully pollinated they're small but I'm just making seeds this run and I wanted to get seeds from all of them to retain as much variation as possible. I mixed the pollen from both of the males. I have a 3rd male I chopped because I just didn't like it, but found out I had a clone. I might grow it out well see. Saving some pollen for sure

There's a lil variation but I'm happy to see that. I noticed I hadnt updated this in a while, the indoor plants are all fully pollinated. Some are beefy some very lanky, all flowering kinda slow. There are 2 that will take a lot longer than the rest. At least I have pollen saved for later crosses.

I really like this one, it's got really thin leaves and an amazing smell, probably not gonna be the greatest yielder but I decided to keep a clone going outdoors

The ace Malawi are flowering so much faster. I grew out TLT Malawi gold for seeds recently and I can say outta all the Malawi variants I have ace newer malawi is the fastest, I been posting them on ic mag because dubi will give input on what you have. Which was cool at first till he started bashing RSC and Anesia saying they're selling his genetics. Theyre are some similarities in a couple of phenos. I can see that, but the RSC Malawi gold is not an ace repro. Anyone ever grow Anesia Malawi? He might be right there I have no clue. Here is a pic of a Landrace team Malawi gold I have growing outdoors. This was my favorite from my seed run it's gonna be a monster. It's the one behind the bucket my biggest plant right now
