Could somebody give me tips on growing. I watched vids and everything already got a tent nd etc. I just honestly need help,should I grow in soil or do hydro. What's the best nd simplest nutrients I can use.

Find one grow book/guide and follow it. Follow directions for cannabis on your nutrients. Don’t follow YouTubers = success

you will get so many opinions on this ,some will say soil,some coco,some hydro ect . only you can decide what you like to grow with. 20 years of on/off growing i have just stuck to soil

GH MaxiBloom from start to finish with tap water.
Start in solo cups and transplant to 2 gallon pots after 2 weeks from sprout.
Start feeding around day 3 from sprout to run off using pH around 6.0.
Feed daily to run off once a day in veg and twice a day in flower.
Never give plain water.

Day 51 on my autos, just can't extend veg if you run into problems

I agree with coco. Soil is finicky with feeding/watering. Coco feed every watering. Sprout/clone in solo cups, transplant to 1 gallon for veg, go to 3 gallon for start of flowering

I use a peat based mix with extra perlite

My first grow was an autoflower. My second grow is 4 autoflowers.

Love autoflowers.

thats literally the only reason a begginer should not start with autos.
start with photo learn what it means to make the tent full learn what problems you can get with your nutes you are using.

i love people that hate to search but ask for stuff on a golden platter. why read the forum if forum can give you all in one post

I’ve harvested amazing autos, and they definitely have a place in a world polluted with light. IME they are much less forgiving, and I don’t see how anyone who’s had experience with both would say differently. Unless they’re trying to make money on them.

I topped this many times and Defoliated it. It still grew fast. I ran the light at 20/4.

I got 3oz from it.

Welcome to RIU. All the info you desire and the answer to all the questions you haven’t yet thought of have probably been posted. There’s a lot of gold hidden in here if you're willing to look for it. Good luck. Be a good “student” and you’ll eventually master it.

Too vague. Need more details on your budget, space, goals and desires. I would give totally different advice for someone trying to optimize pure yield vs someone trying to simply grow out a sativa or sativa dom plant, thats without any considerations for light, tent size, etc.

I also advise staying away from autos until you understand cannabis better. Theres alot of nuance and understanding that you can go your entire cannabis growing career without ever dealing with, but in knowing, you can increase the chances of finding something you really love or finding quality on a budget. Basically, it goes from purple fruity gas hybrids to an ocean of potential expression very quickly once you know whats out there and who is putting in the work to preserve or breed unique cultivars.

As said above , what are your goals and how much time do you have for your garden ?

When I went indoors after many years of guerilla growing I started with Promix and GH 3 part nutes and did pretty well right off the bat . Then I played with several different hydro styles with varying degrees of success before going back to Promix .

I did well with DWC but Promix was less demanding to me and I got good returns .

Definitely would start with photoperiods, so you understand the strugglers of sexing, timing a light schedule, etc...

Autoflowers are not tolerant of fuckups; the clock is ticking from day one.

A mistake that may cost a week or two of recovery with a photoperiod can be cataclysmic with a an autoflower.

Some people like autos, that's cool, but they're not the best choice for a first grow.
