Couldn't agree more. I get small buds on my sativa, but the smoke is incredible. I have smoked everything in US, Canada and Thailand, however nothing comes close to the euphoria of smoking this land race cannabis with small buds. I laugh at the fact that some vets here asked me to get rid of my first grow since the nugs were small, luckily I didn't listen to them. Size doesn't really matter here, only the smoke does.Expectations....
When I first encountered "Sinsemilla" in the mid-1970's, the buds were very small. The smoke was incredible. The terpenes were off the charts strong.
When I first encountered real Thai Stick, the buds were very small. It should go without saying (to anyone who was there) that Thai Stick was probably the best marijuana ever to exist on Earth!
In fact, it was quite rare to ever get any buds of size on the street.
It's normal to expect big, rock-hard rocky-dick buds, now....because that's part of what growers steered everything to back in the days when all those small-bud strains that smelled so strong, were getting growers put into prison! Growers trended everything towards big yields, instead of maintaining potency and flavor. And so now, people have come to expect big buds that you literally have to tear apart and slam into your nostrils before you'll get a vague idea of the terpene profile....and it usually turns out to be "fruity", "piney" or "gassy". ......*shrugs*
Haven't heard that one before.too much p-k can definitely cause smaller buds
I find you get more resin and leafs and less budmass in cold conditions for sure imeCold, my buds shrivel right up when there cold.
I was being sarcastic, referring to my swinggers mate lol, but yes, cold does effect swellingI find you get more resin and leafs and less budmass in cold conditions for sure ime
Ya excess of one will usually lock out the other and micros. That's usually the case when people have plants finishing really quick with purple stems/leaves and small little budsHaven't heard that one before.
That's a valuable info. I do know how to inspect for deficiencies but the truth is that when I didn't use calmag before like as preventive measure, I had bigger yields. And Canna Coco A+B should already have excess calcium in it. Its when reading about soft water 0.2 EC is recommended to use calmag to buffer it up to 0.4 EC I started to do that and that may be the cause of something has gone out of the balance...so here on I am not adding that with every tank fill . I had a hunch that that is a maybe possible cause. Even I haven't had any lock out symptoms imo except those small buds, not all of them of course, I might be spoiled also since I used to get around 1-1.2 g/watt before.Calmag restricts PK.
Cheers, yep f*** done it zillion times screwing up with PKYa excess of one will usually lock out the other and micros. That's usually the case when people have plants finishing really quick with purple stems/leaves and small little buds
Oops!!You're missing part.
Ya it's gonna be tough to figure it out without pics.Ya excess of one will usually lock out the other and micros. That's usually the case when people have plants finishing really quick with purple stems/leaves and small little buds
That was awhile back, yes things were fine after getting rid of the trays, I washed them between crops but believe a virus had affected the plastic, probably started in the mother tray due to neglect at some point is my guess but then went to a table style that I lined with a new liner each round after that, long term usage, the trays I used for about 10 yrs before the issue developed. How are things now , are your's growing better after new equipment .

It changes a bit as they get older, I never noticed a difference in yield with new bulbs, never, I think it’s a non factor and a misdirect of effort, I used to buy bulbs from a warehouse show that would replace them after a short service. That’s after growing for awhile and what I found.I use a bulb once two runs max but i use an adjustable hps so thats why though plus i do feel light intensity drops after that somewhat
Its fearly good quality , some bit airy some bit hairy..some tight..if 10 is best I would say between 5-8.What's the genetics ? What's the length of flower time also ? .... I cut calmag out after the first two weeks as I find it doesn't help later on in flower .. I get small yields on some plants and I put this down to genetics causing slow growers .. is the quality of bud good tho or isit merrr
