OK, got it. But to add, is the pollen still good if its not dry yet? In other words the pollen sacs are almost open but 'wet' if you will. So the pollen doesn't show up on the paper. Its all stuck together and not powdery yet. Reason I ask, I'm at day 26 after the switch. Getting a bit close to then end of window? or can I let them dry for another few days until I see pollen on the paper?

Only one way to find out. Now I'm wondering about processing pollen in a freeze dryer. I'd be curious to know the result if you try the experiment.

Better try it in the gas oven on the smallest possible flame, heat the oven, turn off and put the pollen bags for about 10 minutes, repeat the process... Microwave oven kills everything it touches.

That's what we ended up doing thanks. Ended up being around 120F for maybe 15 minutes. Did the trick. Put in plastic baggie and all pollen fell out was visible for ye ole brush.
