I'm fucking dying here
Nothing, all stock.Accessories?
Maybe the tire pressure.SO I go jump in the car to take it to wally to exchange the battery for a new one and click... OK, so I take the battery out and wrangle it and myself into the truck (fun to do using a crutch and one hand) and make the drive. I got someone to drag it in there and they require it gets checked by the analyzer machine. 1.5 hours later they say it is fine. So now I'm going to have to get the alternator checked out even though no idiot lights are showing on the dash. I'll check the Haynes manual and see if I can do it first. I have no idea what could be draining it if the alternator is good...
I’d throw the newly charged battery back into the car and cruise right to an O’Reilly’s and have them check the alternator. They definitely don’t last for shit these days.SO I go jump in the car to take it to wally to exchange the battery for a new one and click... My son got it put back into the battery box last night so I could hook it up and lock the trunk at least. I still need to put the frog on the end and bolt it down this morning. I can check to see if the voltage goes up when it is running to verify the alt is putting out anything and use my meter in line to see if there is any draw on it when everything is off, except for the trunk light where the battery is.I’d throw the newly charged battery back into the car and cruise right to an O’Reilly’s and have them check the alternator. I’ve chased so many “battery” problems in both my trucks since the fire. The best problem to have is a parasitic draw that you can’t figure out where the hell it’s coming from even though you’ve pulled every possible fuse and used your multi meter. Was so pissed I finally talked to the owner of the shop who services that f350. He said “oh! That would probably be the glow plug control module” well son of a bitch if it wasn’t! That one pissed me off bigtime.
And then, while on one of the roads YOU take to get to my house, while pulling my cargo trailer the F350 dies and was sketchy AF pulling it to the side of the road, right next to rice field(no room).
Got towed home and both batteries took a charge so I thought that was interesting because I had just replaced the alternator and both batteries before i found out about that control module thing less than a year before.
Drove it to O’reilly’s and had them check it out and they said it was only putting out 9 volts at idle. This alternator I bought had a lifetime warranty so picked up a new one installed it and then brought the old(1yr old)one back.
Had to replace the silverado’s alternator since being out here too.
My wife sent me that the other day, and she finally admitted to doing that. I knew. I'm a light sleeper. I fall right asleep and snore immediately, but if I hear anything I'm awake. She'd slap me, or elbow me in the ribs and I'd wake up in time to see her shuffle back and pretend to be asleep. I know I'm not alone here. At least I got closure. And I ordered inflatable children's sparring equipment for bed time
