Trichome clarification.

Can someone lmk if these are mostly clear or most cloudy? I want to understand the development more this time around. I’m thinking a fair amount of clear with a little cloudy. And I know it doesn’t matter but a little amber on sugar leaves. Thanks. I added full shots because someone is likely to ask. IMG_7718.jpegIMG_7717.jpegIMG_7716.jpegIMG_7715.jpegIMG_7714.jpeg

Yea looking pretty much like that. Every one been saying to not judge triks on leaf but to check a small piece of bud and look inside that plus other factors before harvesting. Looks awesome. Getting close next week should see alot of cloudy trichromes.

Thanks. I’m looking forward to it. I think I’m planning to harvest with 10% or less amber if I can wait that long lol.

I don't really want amber for a few reasons but it's everyone's own decision. I'd go 80% cloudy for best results.

What reasons would you not want any amber? I’m still learning and I always like to hear other people’s ideas and experiences

Hard to see the trichs, but it needs another 2-3 weeks. The calyxes will swell and the pistils will recede. I don't even really look at trichs anymore.

^^same...You need to wait until the pistils recede and the calyxes swell....like Cousin Bo said -probably 2 or 3 more weeks.

Just let them grow until they're ripe. Stop worrying about trich color. If you let it finish you'll always have a combination of trich colors.
I've had black trich heads and they weren't much different than the same plant taken earlier.

If everyone that replied with an “it’s ready when…” type response read the post again.

I didn’t ask for an opinion on when the flower was ready, I asked for clarification on if I was reading the trichomes correctly…but your answers regarding flower maturity are duly noted.

Thank you. This made a lot of sense on why people evolve into using trichomes less.
Trichomes are a great intput to deciding when the plant is ripe. It’s a personal preference but in my opinion most do not wait long enough. I look for 80% milky with 20% amber. Only people I know harvesting with clear trichomes are rosin makers for clarity but you sacrifice some potency.
