Runoff ec spiking

8 pots 3 gallon each. And yeah coco. Up until yesterday the ec was always 0.0-0.2 ec over input. Oh and yeah the 40L wasn't intended to be a full flush was just a way to get water out of the res so I could lower the ec
Right, but I would recommend running more lower ec feed through until the runoff is less than the normal feed input. 10 gallons is not enough to do that in 24 gallons worth of pots. And then once you have that done, I would probably add a little time to the feedings to produce a bit more runoff.

It has been getting hotter in there so maybe water more each time?
No, when it gets hotter you want to lower your ec a little say 0.2/3 to allow for the amount of water transpiration.

Like @nxsov180db said theres always going to be a rise through your environment but you need to ensure you're rinsing that rise out.

If you're constantly getting high readings lower the input nutrient.

Okay thank you. I dumped 100L through the 8 so 12.5L each at 1.2ec and got the runoff down to 1.6 which is 0.1 under what I have been doing. Do more? And do I just continue to water at say 1.4ec but more each time?

Yes that what I'd do, lower the ec a few points, give it 3/4 days and test it again, if it's excessively high lower it accordingly.

Thanks so much. So same ratios but more water. So if I was doing 100ml per 100L then make that like 100ml per 120L?

Yes that sounds about right, do you have a ec meter?

They're a very useful tool for fine tuning the ec using run off as your guide.

Yeah man I got one of those. So if I get all this right now can I get donkey dick nugs like you or will that be a next run thing now?

Not likely. Donkey dicks typically aren’t a result of low ec feeds. Again.. a rise in runoff ec is just typical.

There's no reason why not, keep the environment on point, feed the ec the run off is indicating and suitable lights.

There's no fixed "ec number" to give you donkey dicks it's all relevant to environment.

Good luck bud

It’s true that there is no magic number. But when you can push everything (co2/temp/ec/humidity) it certainly helps
Yeah, for sure.
What I meant was each grow has it's own environment differences and that's what dictates the ec values.

A hotter drier room requires less ec but the plants aren't getting less feed than a higher ec in a cool room.

Am watering at 1.3ec now and runoff has been consistent at 1.4 so thanks heaps. Wee update. Bruce (last pic) seems to be trucking along, glue (2nd and 3rd last pic) seems to be lagging behind Slightly but not the worst

Nice one I'm delighted for you bro, keep that up all the time + keep your environment as close to perfect as possible and you'll get your donkey dicks all right...with the right genetics, some naturally yeild lightly others are heavyweights.

If you're stuck reach out to me I might be able to help ;-)
Good luck!

Awesome thanks heaps bro. The glue was supposed to yield 700g per m² and the bruce 550g and the glue was from a better breader but we'll have to see hahah. Will run clones too to get a better idea of proper yield

Hows it looking? Day 29 flower. Most are looking great but the plant for the second last pic seems to be lacking some hahahah. Stretched way more than the rest though

They're looking great buddy well done.
The tall one hs just a individual it's not uncommon with seeds to get a range of expressions, it's good thing for diversity.

You've cracked it bud, keep an eye on the run off and you won't go far wrong.
