Santos pitches himself to Trump for future administration role
Former Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.), who was recently expelled from Congress, made a pitch on Tuesday to serve as former President Trump’s director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) if Trump wins his bid to return to the White House in 2024.

“My new year resolution is that President Trump returns to the white house and in 2025 I can be appointed Director of ICE,” Santos wrote in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Enough abuse and disregard for our sovereignty, we are the United States OF America and not a global dumping hub. ICE has had their hands tied for far too long with the sole exception of the great four years of DJT,” Santos wrote, referring to Donald J. Trump by his initials.

“The time is now,” Santos continued. “And that’s why I’m putting my name in the mix for a role that will take grit and a fearless person and not a coward that will fear media spin. Bring it on #MSM I’ll take you all on again with glee.”

Santos interacted with media frequently during his time in the House, as he faced numerous political scandals that ultimately led to his ouster last month, in a 311-114-2 vote. The New York Republican is the sixth lawmaker ever to be expelled from the lower chamber.

Santos faces 23 federal criminal charges related to allegations that he misled donors, fraudulently received unemployment benefits, lied on House financial disclosures, inflated his campaign finance reports and charged his donors’ credit cards without authorization. He pleaded to not guilty to all charges. The House Ethics Committee also released a scathing report finding that there is clear evidence Santos committed serious crimes, which helped compel some holdouts to vote for the embattled lawmaker’s ouster after two previous attempts to expel him failed.

Santos initially pledged never to return to Congress, but recently said he would consider running again. He has not indicated whether he wants to stay in politics through his career.

In the post on X, however, Santos said he knew “exactly” what was needed to lead ICE properly and made an informal public bid for the hypothetical position.

“It’s time to reclaim our country and if you believe the nonsense numbers the media is giving you then you are accepting the big lie! We have over 50M+ people who have invaded our sovereignty over the years due to careless and neglectful immigration policy, if given the job I know exactly where to start and run the much needed raids of removals proceedings this country needs,” Santos wrote.

"Because you know I will be milking it for all it is worth."
Only the best people.

Expect a response. But where?
Explosions kill more than 100 at event honouring Iranian general slain by U.S.

Israel is not done with Iran yet, it has not even begun, first deal with Hamas in Gaza and secure things, then deal with Iran using technology for the most part. Russia should also be on their shit list and the best way to get them is to support US aid to Ukraine with their powerful lobby in both parties.

More Republicans say Trump is person of faith than GOP challengers, Biden: survey
More Republicans say that former President Trump is a person of faith than several other Republican figures, his GOP primary challengers and President Biden, a new poll found.

In the survey, conducted by HarrisX for Desert News, 64 percent of Republicans said Trump was a person of faith, up from 53 percent in October.

Former Vice President Mike Pence, an evangelical Christian, came in second with Republicans, with 56 percent calling him a man of faith.

GOP respondents were less likely to say Trump is “religious,” and pointed to his “support for religious people but not his personal religiosity, as their reasoning for saying he is a man of faith.”

Unlike Pence and other prominent Republicans, Trump rarely talks about his religious belief. His personal history is one that would seem, at a glance, to potentially be troubling for Christian conservatives since he has been divorced twice and has faced legal consequences over, among other things, the paying of hush money to a former adult film star to stay quiet about an alleged affair.

Still, the former president has consistently earned the support of social conservatives.

The survey found that 24 percent of independent voters think Trump is a person of faith, compared to just 10 percent of Democrats.

Forty-four percent of Republicans said former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, another White House contender, is a person of faith, compared to 34 percent for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Both entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie earned 22 percent, the survey found.

The survey notes that Haley was raised Sikh but converted to Christianity, DeSantis is Catholic and Ramaswamy is Hindu.

Only 13 percent of Republicans say Biden, a practicing Catholic who regularly talks about his religious beliefs, is a person of faith. Thirty-six percent of independents and 69 percent of Democrats say the same.

The survey was conducted Nov. 21-22 among 1,012 registered voters. Its margin of error is plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

Then they should have faith enough to help him out financially with all his legal costs and send him cash. Their main criteria are that the candidate believe bullshit and lie, well Trump wins hands down on that one! Whoever believes Trump is a "man of faith" will vote for him and you know what they say about people who believe absurdities, they can commit atrocities too.

ISIS claims responsibility for deadly Iran bombing
ISIS has claimed responsibility for a deadly Iran bombing that killed more than 80 people and wounded scores more.

ISIS, seen as a terrorist group by most of the world, said in a widely circulated statement that suicide bombers detonated explosive belts in the middle of the crowd that had gathered in the southeastern Iranian city of Kerman.

ISIS, an anti-Shia and anti-Iranian faction, has fought against Iran for years across the Middle East, and though largely defeated, it maintains a presence in the region.

Attacks in Lebanon, Iran inject new volatility into Middle East
A U.S. official on Wednesday said the working theory is that ISIS carried out the bombing, saying it was consistent with previous attacks.

The bombing killed 84 people and wounded more than 140 more in one of the deadliest attacks in Iran since 1979.

Iranians were gathered at the tomb site of Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani, who was slain in a U.S. drone strike in 2020.

Iran has vowed a harsh response to the attacks and has identified the bombing as carried out by terrorists.

Nice of them to say so! If Israel is their enemy too, then they aren't the brightest sparks by speaking up.

Iraq moving to remove US-led military coalition, prime minister says
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani on Friday said he would set up a dialogue to discuss the removal of the U.S. military presence in his country after an American strike killed an Iraqi militia leader in Baghdad on Thursday.

In an address, al-Sudani said the agreement under which American troops are based in Iraq states the equal sovereignty of both countries, which was violated by the U.S. strike.

“We have repeatedly emphasized that in the event of a violation or transgression by any Iraqi party, or if Iraqi law is violated, the Iraqi government is the only party that has the right to follow up on the merits of these violations,” al-Sudani said in remarks shared by his office.

“We affirm our firm and principled position in ending the existence of the international coalition after the justifications for its existence have ended,” he added.

The prime minister said he was in the process of setting up a bilateral dialogue with the U.S. to discuss the removal of some 2,500 American troops in his country.

“It is a commitment that the government will not back down from, and will not neglect anything that would complete national sovereignty over the land, sky, and waters of Iraq,” he said.

The U.S. strike on Thursday killed Mushtaq Taleb al-Saidi, the leader of an Iranian-backed militia group Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba (HHN), after landing near a security headquarters in Baghdad.

HHN is part of the Popular Mobilization Forces, a network of Iranian proxy groups and militias in Iraq. Iranian-backed groups have repeatedly attacked U.S. troops in Iraq, Syria and the Red Sea since the breakout of the Israel-Hamas war.

Pentagon press secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said Thursday the U.S. is in Iraq at the invitation of the Iraqi government to defeat the U.S.-designated terrorist group ISIS, but he stressed forces will take action to protect themselves.

“This was a necessary, proportionate act,” Ryder said, adding Iraq is an “important and valued partner,” which the U.S. seeks to maintain good ties with.

Al-Sudani, who is closely aligned with Iranian-backed militias, on Friday condemned the U.S. for the strike and said the Popular Mobilization Forces are “an official presence affiliated with the state.”

I can imagine the stupid people eating this up.

Their break with reality grows wider and eventually away from the mainstream of America, who must remain attached to reality at some level. You must agree that black is white and 2+2=5 to even speak with some of them.
