Need a little advice on Reversing an Autoflower plant.

So, I have colloidal silver 500ppm, And I want to reverse one of my new sprouts to produce pollen(finally got two more seeds to sprout). These are Autoflower mexican red Hair Sativa. I am fairly sure I have the method down, but im having a hard time finding information on What age to start spraying an auto flower, its pretty easy with a photo from what I read, start spraying when you go to 12/12 but its less clear On when to spray an Autoflower?

Basically I want to fully reverse 1 of the 3 plants I have growing to collect the pollen so that I can seed out a future Auto. Not so much a cross as I will likely be seeding out a different Mexican Red Hair Sativa plant. I dont have the weed banked up yet to start growing photos so I need to get some auto seeds banked up that will give me a quicker turn around on banking up some Bud. I already know that any plant that gets sprayed cant be smoked and I fully plan on destroying the plant once I Harvest the pollen.

So What age do I start spraying Autos with colloidal silver?
How many times a day do I spray them?
How long should I be spraying them?

I used this stuff before they even had any buds for three weeks, but never got any pollen. Now I don't want to smoke it. They were all autos. Silver.JPG
The flowers came out pretty. Like I said, I don't want to smoke it, can I bubble hash the top buds? I didn't spray those. I guess I can chalk it up to a experiment that went wrong.Banner.JPG

I have read that some strains are resistant to reversing, so It might have just been the strain you have did not take to reversing.

I have read that too, but there are a couple problems with STS, One I dont have the money to buy it. Two, Once you mix it, the stuff is only stable for 1 month and if you dont need it all, it just gets wasted. Three, its more toxic to work with than colloidal silver.

Basically, I just need to know WHEN I should start applying it to an Autoflower.Since they are on a timer, unlike photos, I am not clear on when to start spraying it, but I do know you need to spray it twice a day for like 2 or 3 weeks when using colloidal silver.

You can start spraying at around a week after your out of the seedling stage. Colloidal silver will knock them around a bit and they need to be strong enough to handle it.

Toward the end of the third week. Most auto flowers start stretching around the 4th week, keep spraying for 14 - 21 days. I reversed some Ripley's OG and a Jogi OG this way.

20230717_131524.jpgAutos can be difficult to get pollen from. If you are short on seeds, it would be easier to get some. They can be sprayed after a couple weeks of growth, but may require more time and money than just buying seeds.GL

This is what I do to either keep a strain or mix up some strains to run …. If you want more seeds of a particular autoflower , you will have to use 2 of them for this project. I recommend auto to auto pollenation to keep things straightforward.

I run a 2 cup experiment as follows. Pretty simple.
Use one cup for making fem pollen , the other the recipient .

Note : Notice left cup ( pollen maker ) / right cup ( preflower mother )

There is a possibility of sterile pollen or some other failure but this method is as about as simple as it gets.

TIP : You can also take that doner ( pollen maker cup ) and pollinate another already growing autoflower by pollinating
some of the lower branches ( lower flower ) to make seeds on plant . Just be careful not to accidentally pollinate whole plant .
Tag branches you treated. Harvest seeds when mature - toss those branches but consume main plant.


No need to overthink this experiment bongsmilie

This is literally EXACTLY what I am doing with only two differences. The light cycle, I am running a longer on cycle and i am using a slightly larger pot (1/2 gallon) size. But I have 2 seedlings that are 3 days old for just this purpose, Make One male for pollen to fertilze the other for seeds! I am very glad to see I am at least on the right track.

Tho I am worried if Collodial Silver Alone is going to be enough to reverse the plant. I did get the 500ppm Collodial silver.
