Tents in the uk

I’ve have covid hence not being on

So I need a new tent
The ones at my hydro aren’t great.

I saw this and it’s exactly what I’m looking for but they don’t sell to the public and I can only find a shop in Australia.

Any ideas of where to look all I keep finding is budbox pros witch only have duct vents one side the wrong side for me and nothing else that’s good let alone the bars to stop it closing on its self

Well my tent had a sudden death, a middle bar got knocked last week and bent , this morning both were bent so I had to do a emergency harvest (10 days early ) as it looked like everything was going to come crashing down

I found a uk hydro shop that sells ac infinity tents wanted a gorilla but uk no chance & I was really lucky finding the shop I did as I’ve been looking for tents for a week and couldn’t find anything as good not in the uk.

so I’ve gotta lotta work to do I need to put down new flooring seal it so my new neighbours can’t smell nada ,put up the new tent and reinvent my exhaust system as it’s failing in the wind.

heck least I gota good tent

Learned something over the years buy cheep buy twice.

there are Less than 10 ( thats being exaggerated in your favour I could only find 6 ) folks with 8x4 tents on Amazon in the uk , all crap zip work. As for flea bay no thanks I don’t buy overpriced tat

as for the rest online yeah you a ok tent for £200 but you’ll be replacing it in less than 5 years as the zip will have gone.

guess you’ve never actually had a gorilla tent and have only seen videos no real life experience as there not guff m8 they are well made

I’ve a m8 like you he drives me up the wall buying cheep I keep telling him it’s false economy but he keeps on buying the same old tat over and over again drives me crazy :wall: :laugh:

Gorilla tents are over engineered to do a job that most tents on the market do perfectly well already at a fraction of the price.

I've had at least 12 tents of various sizes over the last 15 years and the only reason I don't still own them is because I've given them away when I've moved house and had to reconfigure to the new room.

None of them have failed and are still in use , just not by me.

The last one I bought was £109 about 6 month ago for a mate and it had 22mm poles, metal corners and thick tight fabric with chunky zips.

Itl still be working in 10 years.

There's at least 107 hydro shops in the uk , nearly all of them have an ebay shop because people can pay semi anonymous via PayPal.

You can get the Gorilla tent you wanted from Esoteric Hydro online, not sure how you can't find them there's more suppliers than that with a quick search

It’s not big deal really is it anyway
As said I ended up buying a ac infinity
That I lost a tent & had to harvest early was a big deal. Come on guys take it easy I’m still unwell all I said was I preferred in the first place jeeps don’t we all have different options. I was maybe expecting some sympathy not getting bashed for buying a tent

Fair enough.. I just took offence at the "mate like you" comment.

I'm a firm believer in quality equipment while at the same time against anyone having my eyes out.

Full sympathy for your cropping situation though.

Having a gorilla grow tent is like having a aftermarket exhaust tip on your OEM exhaust pipe. It doesn't add anything special that is already there. Vivosun running strong for years and years. No problems

Truth be told. My old 4x8 was secondhand rusty poles and a load of pin prick holes I had to tape up.
I had a problem with my venting it was backfiring when it got windy into the tent and blowing up the room with my neighbours going nuts about it i phoned a friend he helped try adding more inline fans as it had a long way from tent to exhaust hole and bent the pole grabbing onto it when he was re attaching the duct.

so I was being extra cautious about getting a tent that had decent fabric and zippers as I can’t afford any smell leaks no more even if we do a total re haul on the venting I was looking at the gorilla purely based on fabric

I would suggest the ac infinity over the gorillas based on cost. The gorillas are nice, but they aren't anywhere nice enough over the ac infinity to justify the cost. And yes, I've seen both in action.

I've had good and bad luck with cheap tents. My old cheap 4x2 the zippers crapped out in a couple years. But my cheap 2x2's have held up for many years with no signs of trouble with the zippers.

I'm with you and Corey on this!
I've got a Zazzy and Opulent Systems (both 4*8ft 600D amz cheapos) that I've been running since 2019 and they're both still running solid plus I had cash for more lighting...

If anyone else is ever in the market have a look at home box tents out of Holland I think, they do one called the ambient which is beige on the outside so if someone can see in your window they don’t stand out as much. Not that I reccomend growing in plain sight at all, it’s decent if you need to lift the blinds or remove the window coverings every now and again. They also have a vertical door that you unzip and roll up which makes access good in certain situations. They do have plastic corners but I can say from experience they hold plenty weight, and I never worried about the structural integrity at all

edit: sorry they do have ports on both sides too

I’ve got a 4x4 tent, 2 x digital hid lights, parabolic reflector, a small rad, lots of little bits to be thrown in, also have all poles & fittings from 8 x 4, aswell as a 16way contactor board also, couple ph meters there also and few litres of feed. Decent bundle of items.

Also have an HGL 350 diablo R 320watt led quantum board. Good little amount of gear to get started or to upgrade with.

The quantum boards been used one run and is tip top perfect working order. This was imported from the US.
Every things there to go and happy agree some thing with another, the usual places a little sketchy and puts many off so thought i would drop this over here.
Let me know if anyones intrested and send a reply over.
